Bailey brothers pay up 22m in tax bill
THE Bailey brothers and an insurance company are among the biggest tax dodgers named in the Revenue Commissioner's record 55m clawback.
The quarterly list of tax defaulters features 12 settlements in excess of 1m each, but Mick and Tom Bailey contributed the largest single amount with the highest-ever published settlement of 22m.
Their construction company, Bovale Ltd, was investigated by the Flood Tribunal,, which found that Michael Bailey made corrupt payments to former Fianna Fail minister Ray Burke and former assistant Dublin city manager George Redmond.
The settlement is made up of 12.4m in unpaid income tax, corporation tax, VAT and PAYE/PRSI, and 9.6m in interest and payments.
Why are these people not in jail? Guilty of tax fraud & found out to be bribing politicians in the Tribunals (why ar the gardai not investigating this?)
Anyone who votes for FF on the back of that relevation has only themselves to blame. How much "donations" do these builders give FF every year?
In other countries they'd be sharing a jail cell with their bought politicians!
