prove me wrong on any of the above and ill sponsor a match ball at your next home game.

your official website should not carry opinion content like that. its amaturish and against the rules. who can forget rockys bottle of jack daniels madcapped nonsense. your site sums up your club, a pie in the sky vehicle for one mans ego.Originally Posted by viking
secondly, they werent members of the club, whover you refer to. we were illegally deducted points and hence CHF played us not pats.
and it is seriously ironic for anyone connected with chf to point the finger re finances and licencing...
free speech is for fans forums or fanzines, not the official website or match programme. they were the rules you would have signed up to of you joined the league properly. and compare this fuss to the shítstorm rico caused with his comments or the irish times dedicating a page to selective quotes from our forum.
as i said before, i agree with the article by and large, its just in an inappropriate place. the website shouldnt just be rockys personal blog
the league didnt have the power to deduct points.
Its been pointed out many times how amateurish the Drogheda United website is & the eL hasn't done anything so nothing will happen to Home Farm.Originally Posted by viking
Are you still complaining about that? If they'd followed the rules, you would have been thrown out of the league.Originally Posted by Roverstillidie

John 83: you are correct. Rovers should've been thrown out of the league. Mind you, it was made clear to Merrion Square in advance of last season that Rovers had filed bogus returns that were clearly fraudulent (even to the untrained eye) and should never have been accepted in the first place.
So pardon me while I stifle a yawn when hearing about 'transparency' and the bright new future of the game in Ireland from people who contributed heavily to the shambles of the past.
Keely on O'Callaghans skills;
"I think George O’Callaghan ought to learn a bit more respect. Against us on Friday, at one point he was over on the touchline bringing the ball under his feet and basically taking the p*** out of us. A big naughty, George. You should respect those you are playing against, regardless of their ability – or yours." - Dublin City manager Dermot Keely on Cork star George O’Callaghan.
But sure he doesn't mention George was taken out of it when going forward a minute earlier. Its ok to show respect in that way we just have to get rid of the skilful stuffOriginally Posted by Philly
Would suit Dublin City's style alright i suppose.
Can i just ask why there's such a long topic about this. Yes the report is unprofessional but iv seen far worse on the Drogheda website yet there hasn't been a topic about it.
Is it just cos everyone hates Dublin City or cos Drogheda are doing well
Who do Dublin City officials curse when talking in the media?! It just looks really unprofessional. A bit of cop on is in order I think.
As for DCFC itself. They are in the Premier by merit and merit alone. Fair play to them. However, I do think that there is one Dublin club too many and if any had to be given the chop it would be them without a doubt. Shels develop good players and have loads of potential. Bohs have a great new stadium on the way and are a big club. Rovers are too big a club to throw out, whilst UCD (Dublin?) are great at developing players and have a move to the Belfield Bowl in the pipeline. Dublin City just feed off the other Dublin team's scraps and that is why they will always get promoted but never stay up. Also, is the club feasible financially?
Drogheda's site is just a bit mad, but it is consistantly mad. Dublin City's site just has the occasional childish rant. Anyway, I doubt many people read it, so why get so bothered! As I said earlier, at least it was funny. Can i just ask why there's such a long topic about this. Id be more worried about a site thats consistently unprofessional to be honest but sure it only reflects badly on themselves for the most part. Imagine potential sponsors seeing these type of thingsOriginally Posted by Philly

However, there have been plenty of threads here that have mentioned this, so it certainly isn't the case that dublin city's is just being picked on
I know its been mentioned but has it gotten a thread as long as this dedicated to it......Originally Posted by ColinR
You'll notice my thread went off topic pretty fast and wandered onto the validitiy of the claims by the article rather than its inappropriateness. There's also your usual "My dad is bigger than yours" Shamrock Rovers spat mixed up somewhere in there too.Originally Posted by micls
Yeah i suppose. Was just wondering cos hadn't seen the same type of topic started in the case of Drogheda.Originally Posted by Poor Student
Shamrock Rovers fans are going to have to have a big think-through when they fail to win promotion. Your are one of use now Rovers Mwahahaha...
It has happened in the past. Also, the thing originally said "Rhona's two big howlers" with the picture of her upper body. It seems to have changed now. I don't know if it was a bizarre coincidence or a borderline sexist headline.Originally Posted by micls
Here is my analogy concerning both websites. Drogheda's site is a pro. It is a professional clown. It doesn't try to look professional. So, when you go to the circus you expect to see stupid things - same goes for the Drgheda website. Dublin's website is more like the homeless guy on the street that has too much to drink every now and then and lashes out and complains to everybody that will listen to him. I know which I prefer.
