    The Cork Game on Friday

I am going for a draw in this one, I reckon we are good enough for a point.

    PS.

Lets try and make an effort for the Cork game on Friday.

Everybody that normaly goes should try and bring along one other person that does not go to the games, if we do this then we should be able to increase our numbers. its only an idea, but see what you can do.

    Dublin city press office release

dublin city press office - dublin city v cork city, friday, june 2, 7.45pm kick-off
City need to be at their
    best as Cork come calling

DUBLIN CITY welcome eircom League champions Cork City to Dalymount Park Friday night as sixth placed Vikings look to reduce the gap on Damien Richardson's third placed Leesiders.

Both sides had contrasting fortunes in their FAI Cup ties with Cork falling in controversial circumstances to Longford Town while Dublin were taken to a replay before overcoming the committed challenge of Monaghan United earlier this week at Century Homes Park.

City hit four with Robbie Collins, Dave McGill, Damien Brennan and Dave Freeman all finding the net, but manager Dermot Keely appreciates that chances may well be at a premium when they entertain the Rebels at Dalymount Park Friday evening.

"Cork are an excellent side with quality players and we know we will have to be at our best to get anything form the game. We didn't do our work properly in our first game against Monaghan and the price we had to pay was going to a replay and to extratime. It's not the ideal preparation for the game against Cork but we're in the last 16 of the cup and we'll be looking to take something from the game against Cork.

"We played well against them in the first match of the season and were unlucky not to have taken at least a point from the match. We know Cork are an excellent side but we have to ability within our own ranks to get something form the game if we go about our business properly."

"In our last league game here we were slow out of the traps against UCD and were caught cold early on but we then turned in a super second half and got our reward by taking the three points. We need a similar showing over 90 minutes if we are to take something from the game but we'll be positive and try to put it up to Cork and take something from the match."

Alan Keely (chest infection), Stuart Malcolm (wedding) and Ger McCarthy (ankle) will miss out while Danny Murphy and goalkeeper Michael Devine miss out for Cork.
