I do a gree that the Mayo should continue its association with the W.I. as your members here do not have the full facts of that sponsorship.
I can tell you, that the dinner dance bears no cost to the league, I just leave it there.
On a postive note. had your photo of your new grounds image sent to me. Very impressed with the picture.
I had a sneak preview of it a few weeks ago, it will be great if it gets off the ground[/QUOTE]

Hope you are right, it will take alot more than an artist impression,
Its a long road ahead, with plenty sleep less nights. It looks to be a big task ahead. Should it come off.it will be the best in Mayo.
    Good Luck!!

AGM coming up within 30 days. Has yet to be called but I expect it to be called in the next ten days. I expect the committee to remain in place and the meeting to be pretty run of the mill stuff. Wonder will Quay Heart attend to give his opinions that are posted on foot.ie at the actual meeting?

Sometimes, people in authority has got to bite the bullet and make an executive decision. The guy in charge may not be cut for the heavy duty stuff, as you may suggest, but I'm sure there are parts of his game that he is good at too.

You must have converted in recent times Reno. You are now suggesting that one man must control matters. I think you should have a look at your own posts over the years where you condemn individuals for taking such a role in various other clubs and organisations - Do not be a hypocrite.

The spelling checker picked out six spelling mistakes on that post.

I take it that you are looking at an executive committee in overall charge with a finance committee, junior committee, schoolboys/youths committee and ladies committee running the club with one from each to go on the executive committee. Would you be right in saying that? Remember, you are more than welcome to come to the AGM and put your views forward and, maybe, accept a nomination to go on the committee. The club is looking for new blood with fresh ideas.

The big step in the new development was crossed over the weekend. Westport United were granted planning permission for the new ground after ticking all the boxes supplied by Mayo County Council. However, it is subject to appeal to An Bord Pleanala, and there is a fair chance that it could happen. Everyone will have to get their heads down and put the work into the project if we want the ground to be ready for 2011.
