Above is the named panel in the papers this week. it also says that gavin is not available for the first game.

I think everyone should get behind the mayo team as it would be good to see them do well this year.
Looks pretty strong, not far off expected with only 4 players picked from outside top 4 of super league but cant argue with the quality he has picked.

    All the best to them...

When Stevie Ryan grows up he might be like them but until then he remains a decent club player
hiding in big games????? you obviously haven't been to any of celtics big games, did he go hiding in the westaro final only a few weeks ago?? how long ago was that westport game which was the last one you seen???? i could say a lot of things to go against what you just said, stick to your premier division good lad because as i said before you obviously know nothing!!!! stop tryin to rise me!!!

Maybe you have a point about him not being in the team but Tom O'Connor was one of Mayo's best players last year! He will start, so will joe lawless, geraty, scahill, gavin, o'boyle, o'malley and mchale. Other 3 are likely to be cameron, neary and who knows about the keeper but gallagher has played at this level before so he'd be favourite. But I dont know anything about the mayo league do I?

Who do you think should be in it instead of these or in addition? Cant think of any centre back wannabes or centre midfielders that are good enough to challenge to get in the team anyway
gillespie didn't play last year which backs up my point of you knowing nothing, i can't wait for ye to come into the super league next year then ya will know about football with all your talk thinkin ya know everythin.

i can't think of any centre back wannabees or centre midfielders either!!!!

I said he played in 2007, January 2007, its factual information.

Cant wait to play against Celtic either, we have nothing to lose and i'd say it'll be a go hard or go home type of game...i'll call ya a taxi if ya want

I seen the back 2 back loses against Westport this season and Danny Scahill hung "him" out to dry. He limped off before half time in the other game.

He's a good player on his day, but consistency is questionable. He might get in now because gavin is injured and he can show us then what he has to offer...

You seem very passionate about Stevie 352, are u related?? Lighten up abit we are all from Mayo...all behind them to do well.

Ps: Not in the premier division anymore buddy

very surprised at the exclusion of tommie walsh from manulla and fitzie from s and f.has walsh gone back that much that he no longer merits even a place on the squad?haven't seen him play in a while but i thought that he was a class act.as for fitzie surely his exploits in all of s and f's big games this year should have earned him a place on the squad also.heard dk going on about how good he thought he was after they beat ballina in the cup earlier in the year.

    Wink

Good Football, did you get the chance to watch any other superleague games this season or was it strictly limited to the Celtic v Westport games?

all the chat about that tackle finished months ago, get over it just because it was the only game you saw. that tackle wasn't from being wound up either it was just a mistimed tackle and he DID get sent off for it child, once again you haven't got a clue!!! stick to your first division thats all you know about so far, get a pitch and a team good lad.

and i'm not praisin anyone just wont take all this muck from someone as clueless as you!!

You seem to have a great recollection of the event, I wonder why that is?

Stevie went off injured because he realised that the ref had no cards with him (nobody got booked in the game), and he was going to get nailed in the second half.

Who was going to nail him????

Its always the same,ye try and wind him up,throw abuse at him all the time, and then ye expext him to kiss ye on the cheek.Stevie plays the game hard but fair.I remember a certain game in the sports park about 2-3 years ago when stevie was playin well and one of your team decided to nail him off the ball,it was the only ye could stop him.Stevie picked himself up and got on with it

nice one 1924!!! i remember it myself and you're dead right!!! 2-3 years ago a westport player hit him off the ball and got sent off and another player who was taken off ran on to the pitch after him too in the same game, he wasn't afraid of that!! he wouldn't pussy out of any game so get your facts right how would you know anyway?? change the subject now anyway it's getting old!!! typical covies!! the players are sound off the pitch, why can't ye be the same??
