What game were you at? They did not destroy Westport, look at the game not the result, we gifted you 2 headers, fair enough, we defended terribly and we deserve what we got for going to sleep.

However we had a definite penalty turned down. We were also missing the majority of our team, with Dessie O Malley, David Hoban, Vinnie OMalley, Brian Kennedy, and Gerry McLoughlin all out injured. We dominated the second half and had all the posession but could not convert fair enough.

All you did for most of the game is do what you always do, hoof the ball in the air, I was surprised at how much of this you still do, with all your young players playing in the U20 league last year I was expecting more from you, but no it is the same old stuff.

I am vindicated by what I say in view of your result against Bangor, your team is very poor, all you can hope for is third or fourth place the way you are playing at present.

Half their first team is made up of players from other clubs. Taking players from other clubs does not count as producing players from your youth system.

    Lets see how many stay.

I hear that a young Westport United player may be transferring to Castlebar Celtic. Any truth in that?

Great win for Westport last night, with a fantastic first half display. Owen McHale is back!

Yes indeed. Goals from Gerry, a brace from the Louisburgh Lion and Cam ensured the points. Eoghan and Horks were back. Played absolutely sexy football in the Irish monsoon conditions, which would not have suited El Matador. Dan the Man had a good game in goal. Sorry to see the Snuggie chap getting injured, hope he gets well soon. JC's pre-match pep was pretty inspirational. He told his boys that Westport were looking at them and they had fear in their eyes and this game was the spark to ignite their season. Rumour has it that there was a team bonding session before the game in Snugboro.

The B team are flying at the minute with another win on Sunday, beating Manulla B 2-1. Philip Keegan got a brace. Renovater would be a keen observer of all this!!

    Talking Who Owns This Dog??

I have to say that if there was a dog with great footballing ability, this dog is your man!! Rumour has it that Westport United are setting up a dog team to take on Castlebar Celtic and this dog will bang in the goals. He is much more talented than Andrei Arshavin!!

    Thumbs down Galacticos 2-3 Celtic

Lost 3-2 tonight, friends. Kipper and Chris Ryder both netted. Had a harsh penalty against us. Yes, it was handball, but it was ball to hand. After coming back to 3-2, Stevie Ryan got red carded for a dreadful challenge on Chris Ryder, and he was out to nail, watching his actual run to make that "tackle". Ryder got stretchered off and the injury does not look good. However, I expect DK to mould Celtic into a formidable outfit and he was wished well by the Coveys.

was talkin to stevie ryan last night, believe me he didn't mean to go in that bad on the chalenge he said the ball was there but just misjudged it, it's bad when that's the only thing you can talk about when the weakest celtic team in years bet ye AGAIN that wasn't the only thing that happened in the game!!!! so leave stevie out of it he's sorry 4 what he did. so don't be sayin he was out to nail, what else did he do all nite???? have a bit of respect don't be talkin bout someone like that makin them out to look bad when you haven't got a clue if he meant it or not, he didn't end of story!!!! typical when you have to bring up something like that instead of talkin about the game, only for the celtic keeper was so bad for the 2 goals ye got it should have been 3-0

Now that the farsical G.D reign is over at Celtic, good to see them back challenging for silverware in the Mayo & Divisional Cups.

Good luck to D.K. Good football man, for Celtic and for the County
