you have now gone from being a pro to be a manager to just kicking a ball!

Mossy, if your out there, have you EVER kicked a football, even when you were five or six , because if you have then it is ok, you are now qualified to be a manager!

He has been involved with a team which has survived in the Mayo League where similar sized clubs struggle.

He has been involved with a club which won FAI Club of the year, (ie they saw off every junior club in the country to win this award), that is success and great community effort.

I like what he has to say in the paper. Thats my opinion, we all know what yours is.

A few managers as far I know did not play Pro football - Brian Kerr (won Interm. Cup with Bluebell), Craig Brown PE Teacher, Gerard Houllier, English Teacher.

ML has won as manager 2 possible 3 Super L and was in fact the first and only manager to win all three Mayo titles available (SL, Mayo Cup & League Cup) in the same season.
2 Quigley Cups (beating the National U-18 Champions Erris Utd in one). He also won the Premier League Cup this season. Not bad for a guy who is supposed to be clueless. I love is articles, written by a football man. His Uncle was also an excellent manager at Youth level with Celtic, so he has it in his blood.
