Still, at least they can concentrate on the league now, they didn't really want to win the cup anyway.

Stokes is biased against us. I challenge anyone to explain why Devine was red carded. I had better angle than the tv cameras & saw it as a dive too - Mooneys smile when he got us said it all.

Spare us the excuses for your collapse. Stokes is an inept fool but not biased.

Stokes is useless.

He's taken over from Jim O'Neill in my eyes to being the worst ref for City matches.

Hes overall useless.

Against Pats vs Cork a few weeks ago he allowed time-wasting to go on the whole of the 2nd half and did not give a penno for a blatent and hand ball by a pats player.

But, he was equally as bad for Pats.

This guy was Chairman of the St. Pats supporters club when he was a young fella.

I don't remember Rico threatening to resign when Kevin Doyle tripped over thin air and got a Harps player sent off early in his last game for Cork........

Look even if Cork lost due to a dubious refereeing decision it does not hide the fact that it was a match Cork should have won regardless. Rico should stop making excuses for not winning like, "the other team defended."

Great news, I would be happy not to have Devine play against us and Rico all upset, should help us take the points.

Look a peno to me.....what's the general consensus from neutrals?

Don't think so, although apparently he was a regular at Pats matches in the Harolds Cross era. Although we've always felt he deliberately gives decisions against us to make sure he's not accused of being biased in our favour.

Back on topic, Rico's excuses are getting a bit boring at this stage - and don't forget we're only a third of the way through the season, god knows what he'll be like by November. First it was everyone kicking Saint Georgie, now it's biased refs. All we're missing is a Keegan-esque rant on TV.

Maybe he (and Lennox) should just face up to what a lot of Cork fans are saying on the official club forum - his squad is weaker than it was last season (no Doyle, O'Halloran or Kearney, no replacements for them) whereas the other top teams have strengthened.

I've a lot of time for Rico but he's not doing himself any favours with these outbursts.

Looked ike a peno on telly. The studio pundits thought it was one as well.

Rico's claim that the penalty cost them a place in the FAI Cup is ridiculous. Cork's poor performance is what cost them a place in the cup - end of story. Blaming the oppositoin to deflect attention from this doesn't alter that fact. Cork were very, very unconvincing for the 2nd week in a row. Rico needs to stop gurning and start getting his team to play again.

Did Rico organise a campaign to get our players' red cards rescinded when they were disgracefully sent off for no reason against Cork at Dalymount last November? They were suspended for the next match against Waterford; we lost, and were eventually relegated.
No?? Didn't think so. So it's hard to have sympathy for him now.

Everyone is aware that refs in this country make bad decisions on a regular basis. It was Cork's turn to suffer this time. He should take it on the chin, and grow up!

heard his interview on some Cork station.

He seems to have some deep rooted hatred (like all people in Cork I suppose) for Dublin. Some of the quotes (hardly family listening):

"shagged by dublin"

"ridden rock solid by Dublin"

"sit on your fat arse in dublin"

"these fat arse boll....cats in dublin"

"they want to take their expenses and their ****in money"



Roughly what Farrelly had been saying last season (although not blaming Dublin). Mainly GF was going on about unpunished tackles and unfair yellows and reds, but said he would shut up this year because of new disciplinary rules.

Rico has seemed a different person this season. For him he has seemed quiet on the line and doesn't seem as passionate about the game as he usually is. My opinion is that he knows he can't take this Cork side any further than he has without serious funding, but will this funding be made available? Any Cork fans know the answer?

He needs to wise up, some you win some you lose. That's football. I didn't see him complaining about the ref in the league decider last year when the ref decided not to take action on Roy O Donovan's terrible tackle on Sean Hargan.

Dry yer eyes Richardson, it was a penalty. Learn the rules of teh game for God's sake.
