While anyone can understand the 'heat of the moment', the comments are completely over the top and certainly are thoroughly unprofessional. Rico has to be taken to task for this otherwise it opens the door for anarchy among EL managers.The interview is a treat not to be missed by any eL follower, a truly golden moment in eL history.
If his comments were 'heat of the moment' and something he might now regret, then perhaps, after an apology, he will understand that referees have to make decisions in the 'heat of the moment' and dont always get them right.
If, on reflection, he stands by his comments, particularly his conspiracy theory, and he cannot substantiate this allegation then he cannot be allowed to continue as an EL manager and it would not be inappropriate for the EL to impose a life ban.
(edited to include reference to being able to substantiate, after all he may have evidence in which case he will proved to be totally right!!!!!)
