    USA-Ireland 30/05/92

Found this video from this US Cup game in 1992. Go to http://www.ussoccer.com/sights/video/index.jsp.html and click on "Center Circle: May 2006". A lot has changed in 14 years.
"Jacques Santini...will be greeted in every dugout of the country by "one-nil, one-nil" - Clive Tyldsley, 89th minute of France-England June 13, 2004.
"Ooooohhhh Nooooooo" Bobby Robson 91st minute.

    That is goontastic

Did you hear the Irish music been played in the backround while the Irish line up is being shown and the soccer commentators calling the kits "uniforms"

    Brilliant stuff

Is this the match we lost 3-1 with McCarthy scoring for us?

And Niall Quinn as well I think.

Against Italy where the ref was called Corleone or something. I was at that tournament. Good trip despite the scores and it seemed that the players were distracted by off the field temptations. 2-0 win over Portugal - which included Figo and others from the golden generation - in Boston undoubtedly the highlight.

Quinny, Liam Daish and Mick McCarthy were sent off in the 1996 tournament. Packie Bonner was sent off in the 1992 tournament. In both cases, the officaldom was remarkably incompentent. I think (and I may be biased here) that the ref who sent Packie off wasn't even in the same half and called it wrong. The Mexico game obviously needs no further explanation.

yes, of course it was 4-5-1, i was referring to the terrible presentation of the starting lineups by the US television network.
