Any idea when this starts or when the fixtures are out ?
From www.BrayWanderers.ie
The regionalised divisions of the Dr Tony O'Neill Under-21 League have been revised.
A total of 34 clubs will take part in the competition this year.

The membership of the divisions will be:

Would'nt it be wonderful it the "real" eircom league could get there act together like this
Any idea when this starts or when the fixtures are out ?
How come North Leinster is called that when most of the teams are from Ulster and only 2 from Leinster?????
That would be an ecumenical matter.Originally Posted by Galway Harps
It's presumably history. Besides, who wants to play in the "North Leinster and Sligo and some bits of Ulster that isn't Northern Ireland (except for Derry) Division"?
Awesome. Who doesn't love a good conference-based system? Will there be any interleague play

Only at the knock out stages, 4 teams will qualify from each group and go into a last 16 knockout round.
The Leinster Division is far the toughest and hardest to qualify from. I'd go for St. Pats, UCD, Shels and Bray. Derry City, Drogheda United, Finn Harps and Sligo Rovers from the NLD. Galway United, Athlone Town, Salthill Devon and Longford Town from the MWD and Cork City, Kerry League, Limerick and Lifford FC (Clare) from the MD.
Just noticed that Garda have dropped out of the U21 set up, anyone know why ?
They're down to a reserve team maybe...Originally Posted by Roo69

was there any announcement on when the list of fixtures would be out?
very good!Originally Posted by Seagull
On the assumption that league sides will be stronger than non-league sides then there does appear to be an imbalance between the various pools. Only one premier side in the Mid-West (Longford, who were quite weak last year iirc) versus 6 in Leinster.
No Belgrove, either
Always look on the bright side of life
Garda have since entered a team.
For whatever corrupt reason, Kildare County, an ever present member of the Leinster League have been pushed out to the Mid West League to make way for Garda. Its also got to be mentioned that Crumlin Utd ( another Dublin side) have been pushed ahead of an existing member.
Maybe its to do with the setups that Garda and Crumlin have? An easy out taken by the League. Keep the Dublin clubs sweet!
They are of course safe in the knowledge that Kildare County have to accept this 'couse if they pull out they will automatically lose their Eircom League status. The UEFA Licensing requirements are that a club has to have an U21 team.
Maybe Ricco was right after all !!!
