Heard that Shels withdrew when I was down in Bray last week, but didn't hear youz had been awarded the points. What was that about? Was it anything to do with their financial troubles?Originally Posted by BrayUnknowns
Is that the Enda McGuill Cup draw incidentally? Or is there a League Cup as well now?
This is supposed to be first round but there was also supposed to be a preliminary round where:Originally Posted by BrayUnknowns

Dublin Uni V Dublin City
i presume the original reason for this was due to there being 10 teams in the Dublin Section and 8 in the others. this would have meant that after 2 rounds (subsequent to preliminary round) there would have been 2 teams remaining from each section to go into open draw and that would have been your quarter finals.
garda pulling out must have put a spanner in the works as there are now 18 ties above and all of the scheduled prelim teams remain. perhaps the format has been changed - it remains to be seen.

Yes it was. BW awarded the game 3-0 as Shels declined to field a team.Originally Posted by pineapple stu

More correctly, the Shels management were on strike, so they couldn't field a team.
Shels are back on track and are playing Rovers tommorrow
Shels beet the Hoops 2-0 last night.
Anyone know the score from Harps/Rovers game played on Wednesday night in Finn Park?
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
anybody know when the draw for the second round of the cup is on?

Thanks stu, I got a couple more results and clarifications.
Everything I've tracked down is now on http://www.braywanderers.com/showarticle.php?id=575.
Unfortunately, my League fixtures have gone walkabout, I'll retrieve them at a later date.

Kildare County beat Athlone 2-1 after extra time.
Bray knocked Shels out in a very entertainnig match at the Carlisle Grounds on Saturday morning. The home side won 2-1 aftergoing behind to a goal against the run of play. Bray's scorers were Wayne Byrne and Benny Daniels. Roll on the quater finals......
Liam Kearney was playing, well he was on the pitch. He looked so uninterested and barely gopt a kick all game
