You pointed this out in the other thread. Well done Gareth but in all seriousness what do you want? Blue Peter Badge? You have been credited by the webteam for the design so stop whining and bitching.
"The Derry fans were fantastic in both matches. They sang their hearts out all the time and created an even better atmosphere than the Cup Final. They were brilliant. - David Graham, Gretna striker

I am whinging cos I was never approached in the first place and if you remember foot.ie members gave me a right roasting over using a splash screen similiar to a premier division website before. If it was the other way round and we did it there would be a thread full of people pointing it out. As there was before.

I think I am well within my rights to point it out and be a little peived it was cogged without a single word to us?

It has been like that for a year - hence the wee note at the bottom.......

"Format nicked shamelessly from Shels site - cheers lads!"

    http://www.derrycityfc.net/liveupdate.php?matchid=1

And when it was brought about last year on this very forum - it was also pointed out that Shelsweb themselves "borrowed" the images etc from the Uefa.com live update service.

I downloaded the gifs as part of a football icon package from a icon download site. I am refering to the fact the layout and font and style is exactly the same. I know we all borrow and copy ideas from other sites, no one is being original in all ideas but an email would of been nice saying they were going to copy the entire thing pretty much directly?

Now I see UEFA use them, I'll change the icons.

As you say all sites "borrow" stuff.....

    Stephen O'Flynn (Derry City)

A deadline day capture from Cork City, O'Flynn is the fourth striker that Stephen Kenny was seeking.

Impressive for Limerick, he resigned for Cork City, where he had an injury ravaged season. He joined City in the hope that the move North would reignite his career.

Stephen has been capped for Ireland at underage levels and spent time at before his move back to the eircom League.

At 6'2 O'Flynn adds an aerial threat which has been missing from the City attack in recent years.

    Stephen O'Flynn
A deadline day capture from Cork City last season, O'Flynn was very impressive with Limerick three years ago. Having re-signed for Cork City the following season, he was sidelined for most of the season through injury.

The move North has reignited his career and he weighed in with several key goals last season.

Stephen has also been capped for Ireland at underage levels and spent time at Wimbledon before his move back to the eircom League.

At 6'2 O'Flynn has added an aerial and physical threat which has been missing from the City attack in recent years.

    Gary Beckett (Derry City)

Held in legendary regard by the City faithful, Gary is in his tenth year with Derry City.

His goals played a large part in the League win of 1996/97 and although his scoring rate may have fallen he has developed into a much more complete player.

Signed from Coleraine by Felix Healy, there were rumours that Beckett may have been on his way out of the club but Stephen Kenny has spoken of his admiration at the commitment of the Enniskillen based player.

City fans will be hoping for a few more goals to reward the performances that the player continues to produce every time he pulls on the Candystripe jersey.

Penpics are generally reproduced. The penpics we have on the site are generally in most programmes of opposition we play. Thats normal fare. Eitherway, if you there is a problem with them being used, I will remove them immediately from the site, I have no problem with that. That is only fair.

To be fair Gareth - I did nick it from your site, and I do "credit" that at the bottom of each page.

It was only a temporary thing last season and I did plan to change it, but then you changed the format of yours and I just didn't get around to it.

I suppose the EL websites (like our teams) are all trying to emulate the professionalism that Shelbourne have brought to the League - on and off the pitch.

I have answered numerous emails from other club websites, including your own and I am , I hope, as helpful as I can be when it comes to that, but you can see my point why I'd be a little irked about it? Especially as I have been accused of things in the past. The reason I haven't seen it since now, is I try not to look too deeply at the other league sites ( I do look now and again ) in case I am accused of copying them. As for the line of credit, ok you creditted it but its not a story or a penpic, its an entire structure. Ok its only a grid with writing on it etc, , and its not even that good, but anyways...its just something you'd expect a mail about maybe.

I possibly am being very unreasonable but I have a hangover, I have too much work and not enough time and that just annoyed me when I saw it.

(by the way I am removing the penpics and changing our match icons now I see UEFA use them)
