People getting worried as the date approaches http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article...158015,00.html

It wouldn't bother me in the least.

Nothing happened on any previous 06/06/06's so why should this one be any different.

It's funny how one date can be branded as spooky or unholy. I also find it funny how anyone called Damian automatically triggers thoughts of the Omen film or the Devil himself (or Only Fools and Horses) It'd be interesting to see how many people call their children Damian these days, I bet it has consistently dropped over the last 20 years or so....

I used to sit beside a lad called Damien many moons ago in school.
He was a bit of a mad man and although he was sound, I truely
believed he could well have been the spawn of satan.

    Most of the teachers agreed.

It's also the launch date for the new Omen remake... http://www.heedtheomen.com/
The date is a bit of a marketing gimmick, but it does make you wonder why the new Bond film isn't being held back until next year - 007 in 2007!!

It's also the release date of the next in the series of Stone brewing's Vertical Epic Beer.
    http://www.stonebrew.com/epic/

They release a special beer every year starting from 02-02-02 up until 12-12-12.
From a brewer of extreme American beers, including the likes of Arrogant B*stard Ale, I'd imagine these beers aren't for the light-hearted.

I'd love to see a TV documentary with some of these people. Like Carlos Roa, the Argentine international goalkeeper who wouldn't sign a new contract beyond 31/12/99 because he was a seventh-day adventist who thought the world was going to end then. I'd love to know how he felt on 01/01/00.

Probably relieved to be still alive. And a little hungover.

Did he think that there was a comet/meteor going to destroy the Earth on
that day but there was also a spaceship coming to save all those who
    "believed"

I could be thinking of someone else though

The Aussies are not worried, it's 90/90/90 to them...
Did you ever notice that in every painting of Adam & Eve, they have belly buttons. Think about that...take as long as you want.

I don't know how you can all be so calm, the number 662,006 is pretty scary to me!

I think the most sensible comment on "evil" dates such as this came in the classic Schwarzenegger/Gabriel Byrne film End of Days:
