Great crowd at it too Swifts - very enjoyable game. Hope that Glentoran player who fell on his neck is ok.
Cup finals on BBC 1 now. Just thought i'd put it up here

I saw a bit of it alright. An interesting 'improvised' finish from the Glens for their goal (Halliday?), but both sides looked a bit ragged towards the end.
Glens probably the better in the first-half putting up a very good performance. The fact Linfield equalised before the break I think made our chins drop. Personally, I didn't see why. There is enough experience on the Glentoran team to know that at 1-1 you can still go on and win.
The second-half we were a totally different team - for all the wrong reasons. The free kick resulting in Linfield's goal should not have been given, however, I have no complaints about the result at all. Linfield wanted the win, we were happy to sit back and get beat 2-1.
Root and branch reform is needed in the Glentoran team - especially the midfield. God help Windy Millar. Resuffles and minor alterations are not going to be enough. Thank god this terrible season is over.
All that remains to do is say good job to the blues. As much as I hate your guts, I know some good football when I see it.
Good game with a cracking atmosphere, shame about the coin incident. Glad to see that Nixon was all right, it was a shocking fall/landing for the chap. Congratulations to Linfield, the better team today (and all season long).
Only saw bits of it but a Glens "fan" was clearly shown throwing something & hitting a Linfield player. I expect he will be identified & prosecuted for assault resulting in lifetime ban?
Well, I certainly hope they get the *******, prosecute and ban him/her; it is no less than what they deserve. I heard rumors also that Colin Nixon had a bottle thrown at him in an off-camera incident after he was injured.Originally Posted by pete

Who Cares?!
Yes, for the Linfield end. The Linfield board made a mess of ticket distribution which resulted in many full-time Linfield supporters not being able to get tickets. As a result, some bought tickets for our end and subsequently the IFA give Linfield a few more tickets for those who didn't get and those who bought tickets for the Glentoran end to change them.Originally Posted by Raheny Red

Awful game but good to see there was no crowd trouble
What about Timmy Adamson going to Linfield, big hit for you boys to take
Good lad and a good player but there are others out there and if theres one thing your assured of with Joe McAree is that he'll sign players
He says he has everyone else signed up, bar Rodney, but there'll be no problem there, any idea who might come in for Adamson, a fine attacker.
Apparantly someones almost signed but we've players coming through as well and yes your right about Rodney it's just a question of getting the papers signed.

Glenmen largely leave this nonsense at the gate.
