Cork City will look to Joe Gamble for inspiration

Eircom National League, Premier Division
Monday, May 15: Cork City v Shelbourne, Turner’s Cross 8 pm
(Live on Setanta Sports)

Cork City will look to Joe Gamble to celebrate his elevation to the Ireland’s international squad by firing them to victory in a critical eircom League, Premier Division tie against Shelbourne at Turner’s Cross on Monday (8 pm kick-off). Gamble will carry heavy responsibility in a match which will, inevitably, have a major impact on the championship prospects of the teams if it produces a positive result for one or the other.

Cork will be without full-back Danny Murphy because of suspension and Shelbourne will have to operate without Joseph Ndo, Jim Crawford and Jamie Harris for a match which neither side can really afford to lose. Drogheda United lead the table with 20 points from nine matches with Derry a point behind and one match in hand. Cork are third with 18 points and nine matches played and Shels are fifth on 16 points with eight matches played.
