    Connor's touchline ban

Sligo Rovers manager Sean Connor has been banned from the touchline for his side’s FAI Carlsberg Cup first round match following his dismissal from the dug-out area for during the Premier Division clash with Shelbourne last month.

Connor was sent to the stands by referee Paul Tuite on the advice of fourth official Tony Kelly after protesting against a challenge on Sligo striker Paul McTiernan.

And he has been hit with a €100 fine, warned as to his future conduct and banned for the FAI Carlsberg Cup clash against Carrigaline United at the end of the month.

Connor will also be without key midfielder Conor O’Grady, who passed the four-point disciplinary points threshold with a booking against Shels.

I agree stars... Connor is a mouth of the south always getting involved with officials and opposite numbers... Last year i heard he gave Lally from Galway awful abuse (Heard he was genuinly insulted). He's a decent manager who shoud keep his mouth shut and worry about his own team our sligo rovers and there performences!

I'd be more concerned about Sligo rovers ever having to play in the 1st round of the cup !!!

I take it your not that long supporting the league? but all eircom league teams join the competition in the second round, the first round is for the junior and intermediate teams
