really dont think that ruuds comment having the word "dad" in it meant he was getting a sly dig in on ronaldo. im sure lots of people have mentioned family members in jokes/slags/etc to people who had lost that person. totally accidentaly as well. dont think you can blame him. ronaldo is a knob. pure and simple. and he's also rubbish. ruud is quality. ferguson is getting rid of the wrong person

He probably feels that he doesn't need Van Horseface because he's got Rooney and a rejuvinated Saha. The same way he thought he didn't need Jaap Stam anymore....... Saha's form dips every two weeks. Rooney is young and capable of anything. Other than that all he has is the young guy Rossi. Oh, and Alan Smith

RVN typical Dutch . They are so individualistic and opinionated and self-righteous. Which is why with Rinus Michels gone to the great football field in the sky, Holland will never win the World Cup!

And Solskjaer, and whoever they buy in the summer. They won't be stuck.

was it, i heard it on the grape vine thats normally pretty correct same person told me about rooney , neville and the tim howard deals weeks sometimes months before they happened , but he also reckons its just getting a bit much with his da, the rudd thing ,the utd fans booing him sometimes ( booing a 20 year old FFS) and being away from home has all hit at once maybe the world cup will calm him down .

Ye before he was like that, but now he's doing something at the end of his runs. This was his best season in a United shirt. BTW, are you a Man Utd fan?

EDIT: just seen your signature now...

How things have changed. I was looking for a thread on the Ferdinand brothers and this was the first result. I fooking hate them both, equally.
Ronaldo is possibly the best free taker in and around the box in the premiership nowadays.

I'm a United supporter and I don't agree with this at all.

He's scores 1 in 30. Just watch his next load of free kicks. They will all be down the keepers throats.

I'd rather have Teves/Rooney/Giggs/Hargreaves taking them.

Ronaldo is a great player, but his freekicks IMO is not a strong point of his game.

So good he should work for the Sun.

Back on that incident I heard what started the fight was that that loathsome piece of filth Van Nistelrooy actually insulted Ronaldo's father's battle with cancer. And people thought Keown and Parlour went over the top with horseface missed that penalty

This thread makes quite a comical read now. A lot of posters pay too much attention to what is written in the rags. Most of that stuff they make up. Why do you bother?
"Jacques Santini...will be greeted in every dugout of the country by "one-nil, one-nil" - Clive Tyldsley, 89th minute of France-England June 13, 2004.
"Ooooohhhh Nooooooo" Bobby Robson 91st minute.

Can't really argue with this - the man has a very good point, and I certainly appreciate it
That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.

Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!

    Sounds like classic story-growing-legs stuff

    "run to daddy (queroz)"
    "run to daddy (mr ronaldo)"
"run to daddy, oh no, you havent got one"
"run to daddy, oh no, hes dead"
"run to daddy, oh no, his battle with cancer was rubbish"

(last one makes no sense because im not entirely sure how one would go about "insulting someones battle with cancer")

It was a nice way of saying that Ruud supposedly said 'haha your dad died of cancer'. Tact Gavin tact

Agreed... the fact that Ronaldos dad didn't pass away from cancer says it all really.
