According to their board on foot.ie, CP was released over the weekend. Apparently didn't turn up for training.

Trust him to "Blow" his chances
Fairplay to Queenstown for drawing a "line" under the situation
Hopefully he "nose" he's done wrong and will be able to "snort" out a new club for himself. In fairness he barely got a "sniff" of first team action this season

I believe thatsums the situation up very well.
The man is a poison on senior football. Technically he had the potential to be a very good player but his attitude to the game and his rather remedial understanding of concepts like teamwork and effort meant this was always a likely end to his ambitions.
He's a waster, plain and simple, the league is better off without him.
That said, I'm glad he had to come back to Limerick once before Cobh got sick of his messing about (they learned much more quickly than we did too to be fair).
The ball is round and has many surprises.
the maddest thing about the CP situation is that only for the mysterious reasons for leaving the club NOC would probably still be playing him up front..
“I’d always play Pirlo but Trapatoni says his first concern is to avoid losing goals. The truth is that we didn’t know what we were doing out there" Gennaro Gattuso, June 2004.
