Seven miles outside Cork City, its referred to as a village with a population of 12000. Fcuk me its not to far off Sligo towns population! Sligo = 18000 or 19000.
Away to Carrigaline in the Cup - another handy trip for me.![]()

another long journey.......
Carrigaline is huge commuter town outside Cork City. I would be surprised if not doubled in latest census. Definitely not a village anymore. Good few pubs but little else although there is a new hotel in town centre now.Originally Posted by red bellied
10-15 minutes drive from the lee tunnel. Can't think where the football ground is.
When you come into Carrigaline from the Cork side the Carrigaline Court Hotel will be on your righ and the church on the left go around the roundabout which will lead you pass the hotel then you'll come to a strech of road then the ground is on your left. They have a club bar themselves. Brillent venue. Sligo fans will really enjoy it.Originally Posted by pete

Feck! Just realised I'll be out of the country.
Carrigaline 12,000 - I reckon it's nearly 20,000 now, and another 1,000 houses going up fairly soon.
If you're coming down the night before, it might be nice to stay over in Crosshaven.

Feck Crosshaven. Stay in the 4 star Carrigaline Court Hotel. It will be dear, but its well worth it for what you get.Originally Posted by Fivesilver

Carrigaline. So, who do we want in the next round?
.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
I played down there against the Carrigaline B team last year and they were absolutely shockin'!Originally Posted by sligoman
I'd say the A team should be at least slightly better though, but you're as good as through!

May 28 - I'll be sunning myself in Istria. With any luck we'll win it and draw Blarney (after they beat Derry) in the next round - that'd be a handy trip for me.
