Ye were by far the best side in the second half. Deflected goal but before that you would wonder how the ball stayed out of the net on a couple of occasions. The best side I have seen this season by far especially when ye keep the ball on the ground. Why do ye resort to hoofball when you have players who can play ball. When Fortune went off injured you walked through us. We have no midfield when we lose him.

Well done. See you in Hogan Park for the away fixtures.

Great result. Athlone is always a horrible tricky away game. The most important thing was top get a win after the Dundalk set back. This division is all about momentum and we have to try and keep it. A win up in Kildare now would keep the wagon rolling.

Put very well, would you like to come down to Limerick sometime and give us a talk on being optomistic

Did everyone see that "the best side he has seen this season by far

Genuinely brilliant second half Saturday four or five wouldn't have flattered us in the slightest. But as usual it wasn't straightforward and in injury time the crossbar was all that saved us from Athlone comitting one of the greatest crimes in history

    18 points from a possible 24.... I'm happy!!!!

Nah, in fairness to Lims they should have won by about 3 or 4.
We were brutal in the 2nd half and once Colin Fortune went off
there aws very little stopping Limerick going through on our goal.

To their credit, they did knock the ball around well when the played
it on the ground but the hoofing tactic came in and both teams ruined
    the game with it.

In fairness do you not think a lot of the hoofing seen in Mels is down to the state of yere pitch? Was up there for the Dundalk game it should never have been played and is probably after shagging your pitch for the year
