I agree. I wasn't happy with Murphy making the trip but he won me over too. I'm not sure I'd pick him over Walters but he's a certain squad member / near starter for the next campaign.
Murphy's performances against Italy and France have won me over. I think he warrants a call up for the next round of competitive games based on that. I think his presence up front and dovetailing with Long was a large part of the reason we looked so good offensively.
We never looked half as good after he went off, circumstances granted.

Sheridan's strike yesterday for Omonia Nicosia was his 25th goal in 50 appearances for them
Linked with a move to Poland.

In talks with Jagiellonia Bialystok.
His contract with Omonia ends in June and he's likely to leave in this window as Omonia have liquidity problems.
The Polish league is a step up for him. If he can continue racking up the assists and goals I would call him up.
I think he is worth a look now in a friendly.
What a great career. There's a book to be written no doubt.
Compilation of recent goals here. Penalties, headers, deft finishes. The team goal starting at 5.47 is a thing of great beauty.
I've seen fellas celebrate their goals up at 5-a-side with more enthusiasm!
We need him in the squad cos he's a funny ba$tard!!!
Folding my way into the big money!!!
He's moving to the first placed team in Poland and could play Champions League football again next season.
There's a lesson to be learned there for Irish footballers about maximising their potential, playing European football and experiencing new cultures.
If Stokes had Sheridan's attitude his career would be a lot different now.
Less bad influences around him, less sectarianism and less drinking.
Ah well.
