Delap Sheridan?
Needs an Aldo as coach to finish that brushstroke
ah yeah, but if he was fed by Delap's throws...
He got his head to one, a nice cushioned header to McDonald but it was an exception alright.

Celtic are going through a bit of an injury crisis at the moment with their strikers, it was a case of nobody else could play, than he was good enough to start ahead of Hesselink or Samaras.
Still, it was no doubt a good experience for him, and hopefully the first of many appearances in Europe at Celtic Park for the lad
You can hear Eirebhoy in the background 'he could have played Nakamura instead'.
Jesus geysir were you watching him at all? He must have headed about 4 or 5 of the kicks up field. I was actually thinking to myself that the centre halves were giving him plenty of space to win those headers. He laid it off well on the ground a couple of times and as was mentioned had a good chance from a corner. I thought he looked much better than he did against Hearts.
Naka's no good in those type of games. He would have been good in the Man Utd side but no good in a team that's going to be defending for most of the match. You can hear Eirebhoy in the background 'he could have played Nakamura instead'.
Anyway, Sean Ingle did the minute by minute report for the Guardian. He might have had Irish bias but here's his comments:
28 min Now and again Celtic offer a hint that they could get a second: especially when Foster flaps twice in a minute. First he fails to deal with a corner. Then, under pressure from the impressive Sheridan, he fumbles again before just about recovering.
61 min So close for Celtic! From a corner Sheridan gets the run on Ferdinand, but his header is about a foot over the bar.
63 min Celtic sub: Sheridan, who has been very impressive, off. Donati, on.
He didn't have a great game or anything but I don't think he looked out of his depth (certainly as he did against Hearts) and Vidic never looked calm while he was on.
I'm having one of those Bills Thoughts moments
"I don't think I can get too caught up in it all. There are three big players to come back; Sami, Jan and Killen and they are well ahead of me.
I don't think that I have done myself any harm over the past few weeks but I know that I got my chance because of the injury situation.
There is a lot of work for me to do and even in the second half, I really felt as though I was struggling a bit with my fitness. That's just one thing that I have to improve on, but there's a lot more.
It was a fantastic experience but I know that if I want to have more nights like that then I still have a fair bit of work to do."
Great to see him get a run in the champions league. It will certainly help improve him as a player.
Nice goal from Sheridan there against Kilmarnock. He flicked a kickout superbly on to McDonald who held it up for Sheridan to take the ball while running past and slot it in with his left.
Sheridan makes it 2. Donati with a good shot which the keeper couldn't hold onto and Sheridan is first in to put it into the net.
Great to see him score a brace and good game overall but still nowhere near the finished article.

For a lad who hasn't played much football, and as the manager says, doesn't know the game that well, I am very impressed with his composure on the ball and intelligence off it. He runs the channels well, is eager for possession and helps out in the build up, passes accurately and as you can see from the above looks quite a natural finisher.
I met him a few months back and he came across quite shy and quiet. I didn't have the heart to give him some stingy cavanman abuse
Hard to know how is career will go but one to keep and eye on.
The dude abides....
Has showed great character to come back from that nasty injury he had.
Hopefully he gets a good run so he can develop his game.It would be disapointing if he ended up welded to the bench like O Dea.
like the french boys at the start of the second clip calling him Sillyann Sherrydann
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
Eirebhoy, have the youtube clips vanished?
I get the unavailable right now signal.

Sheridan's 2 goals can be seen on the BBC Sports page
Took his two goals really well last night. The first, as Eirebhoy says was a nice flick on (he won quite a few over the 80mins he was on the pitch) and he took the lay off from McDonald in his stride and slotted it away with his left with great composure.
The 2nd was rifled in with his left after the keeper parried out a shot. Good awareness and speed of thought to be first to the ball.
He puts in a really good shift, as bluetonic says he always making runs, looking for the ball.
Im still not sure though (early days I know!) but at times he looks like bambi on ice, he will need to get stronger and bulk up a bit (again I know this will come in time). To me he doesnt really look to have any pace, though Ive heard that said about him. Samaras came on for the last 10 minutes so his little spell in the first team might be coming to an end soon enough. However, the 4 or 5 games hes had from the start over the past month or so will have been great experience for him.
Keep watching.....
I thought you were off the drink Ronnie?
