Noel Cantwell charity memorial evening
A charity evening will take place in memory of Peterborough, West Ham, Manchester United and Republic of Ireland legend Noel Cantwell in Peterborough next week, with all proceeds to go towards the Sue Ryder Hospice.
Cantwell, who won 36 Irish senior caps, captained Manchester United to the FA Cup win in 1963 and later managed both Peterborough and Coventry City, passed away in September 2005 at the age of 72.
The memorial event will take place at the Broadway Theatre in Peterborough on Saturday night, May 6th, with music from renowned Irish ballad group Wolfe Tones, as well as performances from locally-based Irish dancers.
