Glad someone said it![]()
Jaysus, what is going on at all! Noel O'Connor must go! It is just unacceptable! We conceded a goal at home on Friday night! Against Finn Harps! Others maybe happy with level of mediocrity but this is just the thin end of the wedge. O'Connor out before we start challenging for promotion!

whats unacceptable is his use of robbie on the right wing / midfield and his persistant use of rose...rose did okay - keeps his head down too much and cant pass - but he ran out of steam and shifting robbie into the centre would have gave their centrehalves more to worry about than scoring the equaliser.
some of the football was some of the best i've seen up limerick in ages. mooney impressed me. the defence did well bar the harps goal. lester played very well - he can play ball as well as put the boot in and thought heff was great - beat his man easily but struggled a bit to cross on his left foot.
long may it continue. gutted the match v rovers is off this friday night. all geared up to go and all.
you gowl!
For all I care he can play Robbie at centre half as long as we keep winning.Originally Posted by declan hide

Ah Sure if we keep winning We may qualify for de Super Franchise League next Season.![]()
Reality Check here lads: 3 1-0 Wins and a 2-1 victory hardly makes for a Winning season. All wins at home (We should be winning at home) and We have yet to win Away (I know I know 1 match only) but that will be the real test of the team.
I like the Currrent team although Wolfie should not be in a Junior Side in my View. I would play a certain mr Finnucane in the Centre with Paddy. Other than that I think there is a good balance there. However Robbie on the Right I am not sold on yet.
BTW does anyone else think that the Pitch is subsiding. There seems to be a lot more dips/Hollows in it this year and it doesnt make for good ball control. It is as bad as Cobh now and IMO is not League of Ireland Super Franchise League standard.

Alternative reality check:
I suppose it is a case of the glass half full or half empty. 3 1-0 wins to me are three wins and three clean sheets. Do you know how many games we won at home last season? 6 in total. Compared to 4 this year already. Our home form was the big problem last season. Those 1-0 wins would have ended up 1-1 last season! We had 6 draws at home - all 1-1 by the way.
I agree about Finny, but I think if he is not training he cannot play. NOC is right not to playhim if he cannot put in same commitment as others at this stage. When his exams are over I presume he will be back in the side - it will be almost like a new signing...
It doesn't make for a winning season and its very early days yet - Dundalk for one seem to be getting their sh1t togther. Still, I thik this league is all about momentum - and that is with us now. A win in Kilkenny next Tuesday would be a great boost.
As regards the Franchise Premiership - our ground is the bigger worry on that score. Work needs to be happening now to get us in place. And DD is rigth not to put work in before the lease is signed - but if it isn't signed there just simplywon't be time to do enough work to get a premier license.

Cant argue with you on any of those Points (Pity). The Pitch could be the Stumbling block to Promotion if the Lease is not signed I agree

Of course you can. Make something up...Originally Posted by JohnD
Or else just say something like 'Robbie is cr@p'. That usually gets me a good row around here.
