I stand corrected. I wouldn't put too much stock in it being on the Swindle though--I doubt if the pistols are responsible for Malcom's "You need hands" or the French geezer's accordion version of 'Anarchy'--but I'd trust the Guiness Book. I've seen those records attributed to Sid alone (e.g.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sid_Vicious), but I would imagine that Guiness are pretty reliable on such matters.Originally Posted by CollegeTillIDie
Well there was more than just Sid and the lads on the soundtrack. They dug up some old demos featuring the band when Johnny was in the line-up andOriginally Posted by Marked Man
not only are you correct about Malcolm McClaren's " You Need Hands" and Jerzimy's " L'Anarchie Pour Le U.K." The Pistols did not play on the tracks recorded by the Black Arabs which were a disco medley of some Pistols tracks.
Isn't it Ed Tudor Pole (of Ten Pole Tudor) singing on some of the Great RocknRoll Swindle?
had the LP many many years ago ....some quaint stuff ...friggin in the riggin ...who killed Bambi?
" I wish to God that someone would be able to block out the voices in my head for five minutes, the voices that scream, over and over again: "Why do they come to me to die?"
beth orthon and beck doin no expectations......
jimi hendrix hey joe and all along the watchtower
bob dylan doin the boxer....if only cause it is supposed to be about him and paul simon went to his house to play it to him as if to say "who is more talented now!" so dylan went and covered it on one of his "contractual" albums...
Eddie only sings on Who Killed Bambi? which was originally going to be the name of the Movie!Originally Posted by Lionel Ritchie

City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.
O'Bama - "Eerah yeah, I'd say we can alright!"
G.O'Mahoney Trapattoni'll sort ém out!!
He also sings on Rock Around the Clock.Originally Posted by CollegeTillIDie

Trying to think of who has done the best cover versions and so far have come up with these,
John Lennon - Stand By Me
Ryan Adams - Wonderwall
The Specials - Message To You Rudy
Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower
and two guilty pleasures of mine
Bruce Springsteen - Rocking All Over the World (although not as good as the Quo, but then again few things in life are)
Wheatus - A Little Respect
Are you a quo fan jebus!

Oasis - Cum on Feel the Noize
Nirvana - The Man who Sold the World
I suppose Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah deserves a mention and all
