they gave a very good account of themselves and if Kerins was there last night who knows what may have happened............
they would have been worse.
I am afraid we were near full strength and we were terrible. Kevin Waters is not a striker no more than Robbie is a winger. Kerry were not as bad as some posters here may think, they gave a very good account of themselves and if Kerins was there last night who knows what may have happened............Originally Posted by gael353

Rose for McCarthy 75mins.
As I've said near full strength, only Heff missing, we were restricted to free kicks and corners no real clear cut chances from open play apart from Lesters half volley on 10 mins.TBH extra time wouldn't have been an injustice to Kerry, crowd was way down (as expected), interesting spectator last night was Pat Dolan all dolled up in a 3 piece suitbehind the goals at the far side of the ground, wonder if the lease is nearly upon us, anyway we were ****e last night but more importantly we won, I think last night was a case of the result was more important than the performance.

they would have been worse.
He would have had more experience than McCarthy on the left wing and his pace would have caused us some problems also. I for one am glad he was not available on Wed. night.

best player in kerry? wow. some claim to fame.
he didnt play one good game for limerick. for an experienced winger as you called him he was never in the right position and the right time.
the bomber liston would be more of a threat than him!
the best player i ever saw in kerry was pat jennings. and he was only on a few days hols in ballybunion.
you gowl!
u obivously have a very low opinion of kerry soccer.i think u should check out the number of players that have gone to england and scotland in the last 5 years from kerry, kennedy cup results, national cup results(our club are playing shelbourne in u13 nat semi tomoro) and eircom u21 results.add in all the fantastic facilities going up around the county and you will see how strong the game is down here.Originally Posted by declan hide
Chris Kearns was completely useless and I for one am glad he's back in Kerry again. He reminded me of a player who was afraid to have a go. Maybe if he gets a second crack at LOI he won't have the fear factor second time around, but he certainly never impressed me for Limerick.Originally Posted by Westside
NOC must be taking the League Cup seriously so if he's fielding a first team. Might as well, it's a trophy that's very winable.
You also have to realise the boy is only 19-20 years of age, confidence makes a better player, and I think after a few dodgy games(and abuse from certain corners) for the blues last term his confidence was shot to bits. Kevin Waters has bags more experience(Premier) than Kerins and I've seen mothing from him as yet.Originally Posted by 4tothefloor
My point was, such was the nature of the game on Wed. (were you there) night (Limk very very poor) that it may have suited him, also you would imagine he would have been up for the game, bearing in mind the opposition.

No I wasn't there, too busy with other things at the moment. By the way, how much was it to get in?Originally Posted by Westside
I'd take the view that either a player has it or he hasn't it, and Kerins hasn't got it in my opinion
Much as I hate to say it I have to agree with you. I saw him play several times before he joined the eircom League when he went to St. Pat's and I thought at that stage he would make it. He obviously didn't do it in Dublin and I can't really remember him performing well in any game for Limerick except for one of the away games against Kildare last year. Now that he's back home he looks impressive again but I think that is because Junior football is his level, and I don't think he'll ever make the grade in the eL.Originally Posted by 4tothefloor
