Paul Le Guen has just completed the Marathon des Sables, the toughest footrace on the planet. He wasn't just a passenger either. He finished in the top 200 out of 800 starters.
The MdS is a six stage race accross the Sahara Desert. You basically run a marathon a day for six days, carrying all your own gear, food etc.
He's seeing what pain is like before he suffers the ignimony of leading Rangers out in the UEFA Cup next season with a patched up squad of nobodies!
