Post Serie A - Luca Toni

    Top Goal Scorers

27 Goals is impressive tally for Serie A.
Fiorentina signed almost nothing last summer too.

Could be a key player for Italy in the World Cup in germany as i think he first choice forward.

Was at the Juve Fiorentina match last sunday and he was very impressive (all be it with Turam looking a shaddow of himself). He certainly is one of the outstanding players in Italy at the moment, queue a big money move to one of the top 3 teams in the summer Im sure!
As I say, we're just young & a bit nieve.

He wasnt so outstanding a few years ago. I remember when he was as Brescia, he couldn't get ahead of an aging Baggio and an awkward Igli Tare.

I was surprised Fiorentina paid so much for him. He's a good finisher, but Fiorentina need to find another good forward. Anytime I see them play, they're are focusing all the play towards Toni because of his height and strength but if he get's injured they're ****ed.

The stats say it all. He has 27 goals, their next top scorer is Martin Jorgensen with 6!

I think Italy will start with Alberto Gilardino but since Totti and Del Piero are both injured he might get a look in.

he should be starting for them.

had him years ago on championship manager and always thought of him as a good player.
    22-1 could be value

I've only seen him play twice. He scored at the weekend and generally played well and the other time he was brilliant but didn't score. Great touch. I was expecting a Vieri type player but he was far more skilful than Vieri (who I'm not haaving a go at BTW)

I don't think Totti has a long way to go til recovery and Del Piero started for Juve at the weekend and scored against Fiorentina.

I think Toni and Gilardino would be a good partnership up front but you wouldn't say no to Totti or Del Piero, especially considering Lippi managed the later for years at Juve.

Luca Toni has looked class in any of the Fiorentina games I have seen on Setanta Sports this season. It is still difficult to score more than 15 times a season in Serie A in spite of Dunphy's criticisms.

Even against the poor sides hard to beat by a big score due to "tactical" nature of italian football.

Del Piero won't last a full game, Juve have been taking him off after 60-70 minutes usually I think. Will Totti be back by the world cup?
We're not arrogant, we're just better.

Well Toni had been their number one striker in qualifying.

Toni and Gila will start up front with Totti in the 'hole'.I cant wait to see Toni in the Champions League next season. He is big stong and can score with both his feet and his head oviously. At 22-1 hes not bad value.
