I dont think it should be discussed on this forum.
eircom League First Division clubs Galway United and Dundalk have both been handed down fines by the FAI’s Disciplinary Commission.
Galway United were fined €1,000 for the improper conduct of the club’s stewards at the conclusion of the match against Finn Harps on March 31st last.

The fines are as a result of an incident after the Galway United/Finn Harps game. A long throw by Finn Harps Jonathan Minnock resulted in a goal which should have been disallowed.
Two of the club volunteers who were acting as stewards pointed this out to the match officials. No foul language was used and no physical violence was used or implied, as per the referees report.
We have quite correctly been fined, but the amount is ridiculously high. The cost of an appeal is E500.

Total madness, serious incidents (stuff being thrown, pitch invasions etc) occur at grounds and clubs get a warning- then GU get hammered for something that seems very trivial. Whoever comes up with this stuff is on drugs.
Ya i just didnt think i was in a position to say anything when i hadn't heard the full story.
I was told it was so high because they were stewards.![]()

Couldn't agree more.It appears to me clubs who do nothing all year get hit heavily when they step anyway out of line.Originally Posted by Galway Harps
For example GUFC and Sligo last year were fined E500 for letting off a small firework.
Bohs,Rovers, pats etc let flares off every week.It seems to be just accepted and no harsh punishments are handed down.![]()
