Still looks like there is very little progress on the actual construction,if they have any piling to do it really should be starting now to have it opened before the end of the season, doesnt look good IMOOriginally Posted by kingcolers

Ignore Max Power, he is no more, the future is Ron Burgundy. I'd love to be Ron Burgundy but they won't let me........
The Munster FA own it.Originally Posted by max power
Isn't there supposed to a compensation dispute with the people who used run the shop at the Shed End? This might be holding it up.
The problem is that the MFA are all volunteers and therefore any dispute isn't being resolved as quickly as it should be. Also when the Shed is finished isn't a big deal for the MFA as I presume they get a decent rent anyway.
Therfore City are the only losers from the delay in starting work and since they don't own the ground it's not in their own hands to get things done quickly!!!
Pessimist that I am I thimk we'll be doing well to have the stand ready for next season.
I'm what? I'm ants at a picnic?

If anyone is wants to ask a question on them, then emailing them is a good way to do that. I'd have to stress that absolutely NO abuse or language should be used by anyone who wishes to get a valid answer.
If you are a stakeholder, a patron of Turners Cross then it wouldn't be unresoasonable to ask a question of them regarding this, even suggesting a press release would not be out of bounds. I mean a press release would be an ideal way to address this situation, to provide all the relevant information that concerns everyone presented in a manner which is best suited to the association.
Again .... the email address is munsterfa AT eircom.net

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
I was under the impression that the Cross is owned by several organisations/companies (including, but not limited to, the MFA).
Yeah? ... always thought it was just the MFA, the FAI sold it to them with certain conditions for senior football, thats why City are there. They are the point of contact anyway as regards dealing with any aspect of the ground.Originally Posted by dahamsta

Nah, don't know the details tbh. And my information is years out of date.
is it lack of money or just inertia that's behind the lack of speed? its not exactly the great wall of china they're building. it should really only take a few months...
The company that own the shops in the ground have already paid the MFA for four them, nad now one is out of action, but not only that the MFA have asked them to move the container aswell, incurring more cost ..... they have already paid the MFA and went down the normal route to try and get compensated but the MFA will not budge .... thats what is holding it up.Originally Posted by kingcolers

No comment, but abusing them wont hurry it up anyway. There is no harm in emailing them just to let them know you are concerned. You would be completely entitled to do so.Originally Posted by kingcolers

i sent an email to the Munster FA and they responded thus:
"Work is due to start shortly on the erection of the new stand on the Curragh Road and it is hoped to have it completed by the end of the current season."
Just wondering, did you mention a press release to them?Originally Posted by kingcolers
