well done gilesy - best pundit ever too

1st tv football expert ever to expolde the myth about "tactics"/"he likes "attacking" football/ the "diamond formation" and the "half time team talk"

calls it exactly as it is

good players take up good positions in relation to the position of the ball and other team mates/opposition......bad players don't

and theres no such thing as tactics or turning it around at ht

Wouldn't argue with that Leeds all time XI. 9 From the Revie Era , John Charles and Nigel Martyn ( might have plumped for David Harvey) pretty representative.

Surprised Gordon McQueen wasn't nominated though... has he never been forgiven for moving to ManUre?

Surely Gilesy is Leeds' best ever player. Charles had long spells at Juve. Scraping the barrell though with Lee Chapman and Dominic Matteo. Even Viduka FFS.

Still Gilesy is still the only manager to pull himself off under the West Stand at Lansdowne.

Nigels inclusion is only justice. He should never ever have been allowed leave Leeds. It made no sense whatsoever to let him leave with good years left on him to be displaced by Robinson -who while being talented wasn't going to have Leeds under any real pressure to sell him at that stage as he'd no reputation yet. No sense at all.

Would've though Mick Jones would run Sniffer close. ...and yes some of the nominees are a friggin laugh ...why Dom Matteo and not Chris Whyte? For that matter ..why Dom Matteo and not Nigel fcukin Worthington if anyone who donned the white shirt is considered?

Who are the two transvesties in the photo ?

    http://www.leedsunited.com/images/05...greatest11.jpg

I remember that great Leeds team of the 1970s and from a skill point of view Giles and Lorimer stood out from the rest. I am still not sure I have seen a better passer of a ball than Giles. As for his punditry, he can get very repetitive but that comes with old age, that comes with old age, that comes with....
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

he may repeat himself ... but he can't be as bad as 'pass 'n' move'/'pace, power and passion' Hansen. what a bore

i fear bbc's and itv's panels could ruin the world cup.

It's already been ruined last October. It can't get any worse can it?
