As the rovers lads keep telling everybody, they've nothing to sort out. Its the SDCC's ground and they can do whatever the hell they like with it.

I WISH the FAI and the el stay out oout of it altogether

Says who? Rovers have been silent on this for a number of very good reasons. And those reasons still apply.

Has the GAA concern to use Tallaght arisen from the plan to have a South Dublin county side playing in Division 4?

    From http://hoganstand.com/ArticleForm.aspx?ID=58043

How - in practical terms – would the National Leagues be adapted to have regard for this framework?
Create 4 Divisions – with nine teams in each. Dublin would play in Division 1 – it would have first choice on all Dublin players. Teams from North, South and West Dublin would commence participation in Division 4. Each team participating in the League would play four home and four away games and the team in top position would be declared winners of their respective Divisions.
North, South and West Dublin would play their home games as follows: North Dublin – Parnell Park, South Dublin – Tallaght/RDS and West Dublin – Abbottstown

Does the redevelopment at the RDS, which will mean it's not available to Leinster for some months, take into account that the GAA plan to play there?

Why don't Pats share at Dalymount as only a short journey across the liffey? I wouldn't think Bohs have such problems with Pats directors? Is there some kind of south-north divide?

That's right WAR. If they were curtains they would be hung. Because we are talking about something live, then hanged is the correct word - ......being hanged, not been hanged.

Jeez, that's news to me - when I was running the schools shower, we sent coaches into loads of Primary Schools and secondary too.
Principals and cliques also play a roll too CTID - take it from me amigo

TBH I suggest The Tallaght be hired at the highest possible rate on a match per match basis to the Gah and eggball - Rovers and the local authority splitting the profits.

For the same reason we don't want to share Tallaght - our home is Richmond Park.

Alright i have my doubts behind some of the clubs motives in south dublin, but i dont buy this line about no groundsharing with any other sport. Rugby League and Rugby Union ground share with soccer as a matter of course in the UK becuase saving revenue is crucial to both clubs.

Given the disastrous nature of the finances of nearly every Irish club we should be happy to share with whoever we can. The sooner we can get past this uniquely Irish bigotry that infests our sporting community the better.

If they can do it in belfast its ajoke that we cant do it here.

Agreed have no problems sharing stadia particularly when getting government grants.

In fairness there has never been an issue between football and rugby here. Tallaght should be and I imagine will be available to any sport that wishes to use it. The issue with the GAA is not about access to Tallaght but they want to delay Tallaght for years. They believe (and I agree appreciate Rovers fans won't like it) that this would kill Rovers and they could then have a free run in promoting their "sport" to the youth of Tallaght.

At any stage rugby could be played in Tallaght just as rugby league wa splayed in Tolka.

The GAA are the only "sporting" organisation that restrict access to its grounds and can trot out the usual 800 years of oppression from Robbie Keane and Ronan O'Gara however I would hate to see any football in this country try the same even in the face of extreme bigotry and provocation from the GAA as in this case.
