No reason why rovers wouldn't set up a GAA or Rugby club to get the councils other 20 dates...

I thought that's what the Hoops basketball club was for. Multi-sport groundsharing, SDCC have two clubs as permanent tenants - everyone's a winner! Tallaght stadium might not be ideal for basketball on wet and windy days but it couldn't be any worse than playing football in the RSC...

TBH I suggest The Tallaght be hired at the highest possible rate on a match per match basis to the Gah and eggball - Rovers and the local authority splitting the profits.

If the stadium was finished Rovers/SDCC could rent it to all comers.

However its clear the GAA ploy is to delay the completion of the stadium as long as possible.

Going off topic a bit what is the timetable for the completion of the stadium?
Or is it all on hold due to the 6 GAA clubs row?

AFAIK it is on hold until after the judicial review is heard - proberbly not until October. That is, unless, the High Court throws it out without granting them a hearing.

Has the GAA concern to use Tallaght arisen from the plan to have a South Dublin county side playing in Division 4?
