    Good luck any way.
Try and get your own ground if you can rather than rely on some other group.
Thanks. Yes it is the pitch the GAA use. It is a bit early to talk about our own pitch. We might look at it if we survive a few more years.

    Angry the Don comfirm

    The Don!
you might help me out on an issue I herd been talked about?
Is it true that you are trying to sign J griffin from Manulla and the said club are refusing to transfer the player. And have totally no regard for The Mayo League rules in this matter.as per rule 34.
"A player is in entitled one transfer per season"
Have you informed the Chairman of the League regards to this matter?
I hope this sorted out in the interest of football.

I hear from the celtic camp that paul fitz has left.. yet again. anyone confirm this??
things are really gettin close at the bottom a win for either of the bottom 3 could take them out of the drop zone. s&f are on a good run but can this pull them out of the bottom? some big games to come for manula, s&f, ballyglass and cross.

If this is true, it certainly does not bode well for Castlebar Celtic in the immediate future. With the Sligo contingent gone and Stevie Ryan gone to Athlone Town, Gavin Dykes must be worried that his team building plans are going a bit askew at the moment, but Dykes is still holding the aces on who he wants. Celtic will not hit the panic button and I think that everything will sort itself out.

Well its true about fitz, but havent heard anything about andy neary leaving. also the sligo lads arent to happy. i can see some of the local celtic lads that used to play loving all this. as it was them that lost there places now dykes has to pick them again. now would be the time for the castlebar lads to leave. with regards to fitz where to next for him? will s&f take him back??

As for the boy you call fitz he will have to stay were he is as you can only transfer once in a season.
Its about time this lad took a good look at himself and decide what is he in the game for, all he appears to be doing is going from billy to jack.

as regards to the Sligo tro always said it would never work sooner or later unrest will creap in based on results which by in large as happened losing the C Cup didn't help even thou they will never amit it.
On the other hand its good to see the local yts lads getting a crack at it.
I do believe time is running out on the Grey One.

Did get to look at Cross Celtic playing at Ballyheane I was disapionted by there performance need to find some younger talent and a coach.
No its early days for your club, but if you want to suceed you need to start getting results otherwise getting beaten every time out,the novaity wears away.
good luck to the season ahead.

You are probably right. But to be fair there is a very small panel of players and 6 players were missing that would normally start - another one injured during the game. Basically left with 4 first team players. Better organised next year with more, better players. Hopefully!!!!

Sinabhuil not sure if you were over to us on Saturday Night. I was talking to a few of your lads after the game.A couple of them were familiar with McKeon's field. Its the from small acorns grow mighty oaks. As part of the Keelogues community development we have the benefit of great home facilities. The pitch was perfect on Saturday evening for the game. It should have been easier for us than it was with us taking a quick 2-0 lead through Andy and Tom. In fairness it was tough out there in the heat and that was 7oClock.

Final Score Ballyvary Blue Bombers 'B' 2-1 Cross Celtic.

It was nice to get back to winning ways,we had a terrible last two games against Castlebar Town and Ballyglass, both following on from a 3-2 defeat at Urlaur which was only our second defeat of the season. We just had to grind out a result in that game on Saturday night.

Hang in there anyhow. We all have to start somewhere, Cross scored a lovely goal on Saturday evening from outside the box and I've a feeling I could have been there a little sooner to close the shot down.

Not to sound too sour as the guys on the pitch were not to blame (they were very sound!) but due to missing players we had sought a change of date for this match and were denied it by BBB. We scrapped together a squad. However having 5 players aged over 40 will surely lead to a loss.

Enjoyed the evening despite this. Your big man at the back showed great poise and skill. Excellent pitch - however there are a few holes that need filling. The ref also showed a funny side to the game. Giving an indirect free kick for a trip when he found that the foul was inside the box! No harm - he was a nice fella all the same.

going by your predictions -it will be boring! the cup is all about upsets -celtic have a hard game away to bangor.westport should go through. Castlebar town and claremorris will be a very tight game - after urlaurs game against celtic - neither of these teams should fear them -anything can happen over 90 minutes.

I didnt know that a change of date was requested and denied. What I do know is we took to the field with 10 men and started with ten I think until the bigger fella got on the field. So we were kinda caught on the Saturday as well and it might have suited us to change the date but it means nothing now for either of us. That was you on the line wasn't it. You flagged a Cross throw and the ref over-ruled you.Ya kept the flag up aswell. Flag on one hand, a tin in the other. The ref is sound mind he let Cross away with an awful lot of stuff while readily booking two of our players.

Must take a look for those holes tho.Must be gophers or something about the place. We tore the pitch up one sunday where we played two games on the one day and it hadn't stopped raining but it has recovered well.

There's no way the badger at number 14 was over 40!!!

Look forward to our encounters again next season.Keep on plugging away there at Cross.I'll take it my boots didnt turn up then.
