Castlebar Celtic suffered their first domestic loss in over a year as Manulla beat them 3-2. Manulla went 2-0 up before Celtic made it 2-2 and the game well within their grasp. Manulla nipped a late winner to make Celtic's league campaign slightly more difficult but it is still very much in their own hands.

Thunder can you explain how Partry had to Mulranney in refixure last night when Manulla B had early round fixure not played. I was of the understanding that early rounds should be played first.

The Fixtures Secretary can answer that question.

Thunder, were you at the match in the sports park yesterday. I couldn't go but heard the lads had to play with ten men for a long time so they must have been really pleased to win. What was it like and when is the final set for?

I see once again the U-21 are playing the same time as the super league.
would you not think that this is going against the grain, and underminding the super league?

As far as i am aware the u21 game is called off.
this could be the big weekend for the teams at the bottom of the super league. with ballyglass playin twice thursday/saturday if results dont go there way that will be the end of there run in the super league. the same can be said for crossmolina and s&f, this could be the year where a team that has been in the super league for years (s&F) go down. to be honest i dont think they deserve to go down. there a big club with some great players. they lost to many big names through the season. neary, paul fitz and gerry gaughan and lost both managers that started the year.
if celtic win there 2 games this weekend there right back in the title race after there loss to manulla.

I am glad to see common sense has won the the day some clubs may threaten not to released there players if there backs to the wall.
regards the drop if you are not good enough then you go down forget the tag to big.
I think there are internals problems in S/f but I for one wouldn't like to see them go but should they, then those players that left should share some of the blame.
Manulla had to big wins will see them safe for now there is abig ask from Ballyglass.
the title well I think it's open with the Gray One on holidays should they continue to drop points over the next two games Westport must at this stage be gaining ground.will leave that to thunder hate to steal it.

Why not have a thread for this season 06-07 (some games in both years), next year will be season 07-08 and so on?.

From what I understand the Mayo league play summer soccer, their league season runs during the calender year, only those who progress in the cup competitions run by bodies outside the league have games straddling two calender years.
    Smile........ it confuses people
