Lee Trundle in trouble over offensive flag!

Police are investigating after a flag with an obscene insult was displayed on the pitch immediately after Swansea City's League Trophy win on Sunday.
The insult, aimed at Cardiff City, was daubed on a Welsh flag held by Swansea players after the club's 2-1 win in the Millennium Stadium against Carlisle.Trundle.jpg

“Playing for Ireland is something that’s still very much on my mind and Steve Staunton knows what I can do because he talked about me when he first got appointed.

"If you’re a manager of an international side then you’ve got to look at every option possible. There’s a very good chance that he could be watching the [LDV Vans Cup final against Carlisle United] on television on Sunday, and that could hopefully improve my chances if I do well.

"I was out injured for parts of January and February and the Sweden friendly was straight after that, so my injuries couldn’t have come at a worse time but I’m back scoring now and if I can keep doing that then hopefully I’ll get the call-up I’ve been waiting for.”

Great player. If he had a bit of pace he'd be playing premiership for defo. Made a show of himself though on sunday. Do you really want a muppet like that playing for Ireland? What if he scored for us against say England, whats to stop him parading himself in a t-shirt with an anti- English slogan? That could cause a riot with serious injuries for innocent people. Know it's unlikely but you have to think of these things. Hopefully he gets a good kick up the arse by Swansea and the welsh fa.
I'd love to invent a time machine then go back in time and win the lottery, buy new players and a stadium. Time machines are brilliant aren't they- Ian Holloway

Maybe, but the trouble that'd cause would mean more infamay than anything else.

I doubt that would be likely seeing as he's English born.

Doubt it. The writing would be visible on the other side of the flag more than likely. It looks like permanent marker on a thin flag. it would almost certainly go straight through it.

ya legend status, call him up straight away. thing is he wont do it now though even if that opportunity did arise.

ASH, dont be so fooled just because he is english born......most of the 2 and 3gs over here sing "go on home....." and the likes, louder than any irish born irishmen!!!
