don't know how you can say its six of carew's first eleven when the man above does not even know carew's first eleven.
as i have previously stated carew have not played the same eleven two weeks running all season !
bottom line two terrible defeats to an average view team and every team should be trying their best to win the lawson so as your last sentence says, you really are agreeing with me !

carew not playing the same 11 two weeks running your wrong e.g mcgarry could not make the game again charaville when carew won 5 nil carew started the same 11 in MJC the following week mcgarry was dropped. another e.g 11 that beat pike also started again fairview in the league. and your right every team should be trying there best to win the lawson IMO i would of putting out my first 11 in both cups but thats not my call.

    1/4 Final
    Balla/Pike v Fairview
    Dromore v Regional
    Wembley v Herbertstown/Mungret
St.Pats/Prospect (get a bye to semis).

    Star Rvs 1-3 Regional
Regional outplayed Star in the first half and in fairness should have been more than one up at half time, but the goal they got was a mistake on Star's behalf.

The second half Star came into it a bit more and pushed forward when Regional counter attacked and when trying to cross the ball into the box the ball hit a Star hand and Regional were awarded a dodgey enough peno (which they scored from) on 60mins.

Star pushed on and got back into it after 75mins when they pulled one back and when pushing forward for the equalizer the exact same thing with the handball situation happened in the Regional penalty area but the ref waved play on, but then with all Star players pushed forward Regional counter attacked again with 4 on 2 and got the 3rd to make it 3-1,

It must be said though that Star could easily have got them on another day maybe if Star had a full side out.

Overall as tight as it could have been I think Regional deserved their win and best of luck to them.

If Regional took half the chances they had the game would have been over after half an hour
Star struggled big time and they scored from the Regional keepers mistake, they never looked like scoring from open play, as for the penos Regional got one that was a peno, it wasn't from a cross Mick Behan tried to lift it over a Star players head and was blocked by a hand, Star had a fair shout for a peno aswell but it would have been an injustice the way the game went
I know Star were missing one or two but so were Regional, in the end Regional thorughly deserved the win the scoreline flattered Star, don't think that ref should be allowed to ref games like this though he was so far off the play it was ridiculous, making calls from the half way line!!

was at the balla v pike match on sunday and just have to mention that Bateman Park is gone beyond a joke. Its not lined , there is a two foot hole on the half way line , one of the goals is lobsided not to mention the fact that there are horses grazing on it. in this day and age are you telling me that this pitch is the best that Balynanty FC can come up with , for a club that has been around for so long its simply a disgrace to expect any team to play there.

2 good footballing teams reduced to hoofing the ball forward as it took about 8 touches to get the ball under control.

What games are left in Lawson

I know Wembley play Herbertstown on Sunday because I keeps an eye on 1A.

I think Corbally to beat Herbertstown 3-1 and advance.

But who will they face after that, what other teams are left?

Hi the www.ldmc.ie site is not in competition with this site but will assist in providing information to help all of you. I am sure the 12th man will agree, the LDMC site will never have a discussion board, and the more people discussing local soccer the better as dialogue is good so long as it is informed

There's plenty of room for other sites, particularly ones promoting local football so there's no problem as far as I'm concerned, keeping the dialogue good and informed is where the problems exist.
