    PRESS RELEASE

This summer everyone stands to benefit from the FAI 7-up Summer Soccer Schools. Not only will participants be receiving specialist coaching that will turn today's youngsters into the Damien Duffs and Robbie Keane's of tomorrow, but youngsters across the country will be receiving season tickets to watch the eircom League's new summer soccer season.

Various clubs have agreed to give free season tickets to those taking part in the 7-up Summer Soccer Schools. This initiative will see potentially 4-5,000 season tickets being distributed across the country.

Dublin City, Galway United and Kilkenny City from Division One will all be distributing season tickets to potential young supporters. Esme Murphy, Commercial Manager of Dublin City who is fully behind the initiative said, "It is a fantastic opportunity for us to show the public and especially the young football supporters in Ireland that the eircom League is exciting and that we at Dublin City are pleased to welcome children, their families and friends to all our games."

It is not just the Division One clubs who have shown their generosity. Premier League giants, Bohemians and Shelbourne have been joined by UCD, Bray Wanderers and Longford Town as all intend to boost their crowds and their atmosphere at games in the forthcoming season.

Sorrell Fearnell of Ethos Events, the marketing company behind Bray Wanderers, sees the distribution of tickets to 8-16 year olds as, "Crucial for the long term success of the eircom League." Fearnell continued, "Youngsters having experienced live eircom League football matches will be inspired to achieve the highest possible standard in Irish Domestic football. As clubs we all have a part to play in helping that young player achieve their goal. Bray Wanderers are certainly proud to be a part of this initiative."

After a summer of World Cup football, 7-up Summer Soccer Schools are set to be a resounding success and any budding player wishing to sign up can still do so. There are still some places left, but hurry to avoid disappointment. In order to book your place please call the booking line on; 1890 653 653.

That's great to hear, especially that UCD are involved in this. The post-WC interest in football has to be translated into support for the league and this seems like a good way to do it.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.
