Best tackle of the night gets a man sent off!! I THOUGHT THE STANDARD OF REFEREEING WOULD IMPROVE IN THE PREMIER DIVISION...I'M WRONG..

Rovers worth there point espeically away from home but will have to work harder........a speedy winger will kill Foy but is a good tackler..... has to stay in own half..Hughes looks good.

he went in with 2 feet[as a few of them did in the game but the conditions didnt help]

a yellow card would have calmed the whole melee down a bit

i really do doubt yer man broke his ankle,he would have been able to walk off the pitch

or stand in the tunnel either for that matter

That’s what I saw. Drogba wouldn’t have a look in!
    should have gone to specsavers

Gary Curran is a class act alright !
i can read your post...but didnt think you would say who you didnt rate so made my case for curran to see if you would agree with it.
maybe if you just cvame out and said it at the start you would have saved the trouble for both of us.

6 stitches in mullingar hospital and a lot of brusing, 2 feet = red card, simple rule, justify it as you wish but two feet are two feet.

in fairness, everyone footballer gets stitches in their mullingar hospital....its just part of the game

i have looked at my feet and i can confirm max's statement that two feet are in fact...2 feet!!

have to agree with Turners tackle was spot on, well timed and he won the ball. What got him sent off was the Longford players reaction, unfortunate their player had to leave the filed and get stitches etc. didnt even think he would get a yellow for it.

All in all we should be satisfied with our start to the season 4 points from 9 not a bad return froma side that ahsnt settled or had time to gel.For a period in the second half I thought we found a groove and began to click, a few more games under their belts and the side will improve a player get to know each others game.
I would say Sean is still not 100% on his firts eleven as he has only had them for 4 games so far and will prob need few more to cement his side in place.

Fair play to all who travelled and this is very important that large numbers travel to away games as remember next season one of the criteria for premier divisoin staus will coem down to crowds and i cannot see any club wantimg us not to be ther as we bring good revenur to them.

And why shouldn't i ask that question. Murtagh useless ? Shows what you know. Low was a class act. As someone else said Foy will get hammered by a pacy winger. But you didn't address the real point and that is are any of the new signings all that much better than the players that were there last season.

Oh yeah. Some of them have their good points but this is a fully pro set bar one or 2 against a Longford team that is by and large semi pro and from what i saw against Derry, we don't look up to all that much.

I really hope i'm wrong and that we have a great season but i just think there is a lack of pace in the team.

Foy is a better player than Low anybody who seen the actual roasting the Low took down in Limerick IMO he was never the same player after ! Actually i think for a fair bit last season it looked as his hears was not in it !

I dont think there is a lack of pace maybe creativity !

And i did not answer your question because i did not think you could be serious ! NO is the answer !

I'm baffled by your attitude. I was merely seeking peoples thoughts on the current team as opposed to last season's team. It is a forum and its not up to you to decide what is serious and what is not.

I'm surprised at Sligo fans thinking that the tackle didn't warrant a red card.It was right in front of me and it was 100% a 2 footed studs up tackle and the referee got it right. If a Town player had done it i would expect him to be sent off.

Have to say that my initial reaction to the tackle was that he won the ball but would also have to say that if the same tackle was made on a Rovers player in the Showgrounds I would be roaring for a red card. That's why you get two pairs of glasses at Specsavers - one for home games and one for away !!

Yea, My brother said he saw Connors having words with the Rovers fans at the front of the stand after Faz got abuse. Also Connors didnt acknowledge the fans at the end of the match like he normally does, he just walked off.

I cant see how he can justify playing Faz after his last 3 performances, he made no effort to track back last night after he lost possession.

It wouldn't be in SC's interest to turn on the fans DOR did it and he didn't last to long after that

If Connors did call us all w*****s (we were fairly back in the stand so missed what was said but could see exhanges were made) then thats unbelievable, what respect has he got for us?

Lets see his PR skills in use trying to deflect that one!

I never rated Faz last season either, for starters for a winger he doesnt pass his man and cross very often does he ?

If any of us produced his (lack of) workrate on a Sunday morning down hte park we would be hauled off straighaway.

Faz is going through a bad patch if we had any bigger of a squad i'd say he would be dropped for a while but i dont think we can afford to do that really.Oh and its not O'Connor , its not Connors , its Connor !

I have already answered your question as i said "NO" last years team is not better than this years !

For the Squad I would have liked to have seen Foley and Cretaro Stay ! I mean times like now you could do with Cretaro in Midfield pushing on Getting Forward ! The defense is better than last years and Turner is probably the best Midfielder we have at the Club !
I am with Redrov on this one.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion or put a question out there whether you agree with it or not is another thing.

Nobody comes on here looking to be mocked or told they havent got a clue about footie. You would be surprised by what Stalin complex like chracters do such things believe me! (not referring to you Rogue Trader by the way trust me)

We all love the game otherwise we wouldnt be on here debating issues.

WHY CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG ? LOL
