In addition, goalkeeper Alan Gough was handed down a fine of �250 and severely warned as to his future conduct as a result of an incident reported by the referee during the same game".

As for Gough it's generally been kids and pensioners that he's picked on in Limerick...

Posted here about 4 times but ok.

I remember that incident alright.....a bunch of "kids" threw stones at Gough the whole game in one of the matches at Pike Rovers ground.Gough confronted them then.*******!

No one threw stones Goughie was just acting the worm as per usual and I pulled him for it causing much drunken amusement as he vainly attempted to haul his tiny frame over the little three foot perimiter fence to attack me

And yes they were kids, you know, young, little people, You should know, there's always thousands of them (if your attendance figures are to be believed) running around Terryland.

I believe the particular one little Alan took exception to on this occasion was about six or seven.....

BTW know I'm a little bit late getting back to this LFCIE but I can assure you that at the time the news brought a little brightness to an otherwise grey Limerick day
