    Mungret

Mungret is a village just outside Limerick City bounds. Not sure how good they are.
You head out the Dock Road in Limerick and you'll find Mungret.

The club is called Mungret Regional and they are based to the west of Limerick city. The name, I believe, is derived from the merger of the Mungret soccer club and the Regional soccer club. The 2 clubs subsequenty decided to go their own separate ways but Mungret retained the name Mungret Regional. Regional United re-established themselves in the Dooradoyle area of Limerick, quite near to Old Crescent and Garryowen rugby clubs.
M-R is predominantly a schoolboy club which in recent years has encouraged the growth of schoolgirl soccer. Juniors are average to poor and I think are currently playing Premier League in Limerick. They won the Munster Junior Cup in the nineties. Their women's team would be regarded as being strong in the Limerick area.
