o' donovan got a red for two yellows at united park last season - should have walked for his first - disgraceful tackle. also he should have walked against derry in the last game of the season (with the score at one nil as well) - how he didn't get red that night is a mystery.

with them exceptions, i can't remember any other discipline problems cork has last season.

but i agree this thread is very childish and tiresome.

Its called having a sense of humour....maybe something that some of you boys in here would do well with considering the amount of arguments you have with yourselves every time a thread is posted...

Even though this thread was meant as a joke there is a lot of truth in it...Shels have over the last few years done nothing but bully/intimidate every club in the country..it does not work anymore and it must hurt..

Regarding every team has there tough tacklers that is true..but not all those players deliberately kick players intentionally like Crawley/Hawkins/Heary and Crawford do..its a Shels thing..in fact its a Pat Fenlon thing..he was the same when he was a player himself...

The only thing that would frighten me anymore about Shels would be if they actually had a better manager than Fenlon..because with there resourse's they certainly would be a lot better team..to call this a rubbish thread is RUBBISH...

    post something funny then

it was a clear wind-up against shels, if the same was done on any other manager in the league, it would have rightly been sent to the bin quite quickly.

Err, I think we may have done a little more than that!!

But I accept you general point about the crowding round the ref trying to intimidate him thing. I never liked that, and we used to do it a lot. However, we've kind of got rid of that recently.
Ironically, Cork now seem to do it at every opportunity, and they won the League last year. Makes you wonder...

    Pat Fenlon

I think its time shelbourne looked to replace pat fenlon. Judging by his interviews he seems to think there is nothing wrong with shels. Last season was a dead rubber for them and this run that he keeps refering to came when there was no chance of winning the league and only secured 3rd place for them. I would like to see how many sendings off they have had in the last two seasons also, their players seem to have a knack of losing all discipline and fenlon and his bench lose their cool over any marginal decisions. If they keep going the way they are they will find themselves with a lot of ground to make up in the title race again.

Blah Blah Blah....open your mind and say something constructive....

I would also like to point out that i think Shels are a very good football club...my problem is with there management...someone else would have brought them a lot further by now than Fenlon...Shels have encouraged other clubs including Cork City to become Professional and they should be thanked for that...but its the thuggery from a few of there players that is sickening..everyone can see it besides themselves....Heary was a disgrace AGAIN against Pats...in the last two games Crawley has kicked a player in the back/Hawkins has kneed a guy in the back/Heary has charged into a guy with his elbow/shoulder...what does that say?

Yes, I was at the game on Friday, and probably had a better view of the Heary incident than you, as it happened right in front of us. Nobody crowded round the ref trying to intimidate him, the ref got in the middle to try and stop the fisticuffs. Heary argued his sending off all right, but it was not a case of everyone crowding around and arguing.
Incidentally, if you ever got a thump in the playground, did you stagger back a couple of feet, but take it? Or did you collapse on the ground like a sack of potatoes and not move for 5 minutes?
As for players going down, every Pats player was mortally injured when they were winning and got tackled. You come to expect that, but to say Shels players were doing it?????

Wink Thank God theres someone else out there

Well done mate, a few days ago I posted a notice re how I felt Fenlon has had his time, I thought I was the only Shels fan who was questioning Fenlons ability to coach.
Today I found your mail, tongue in cheek OK, but at least I know that other fans have noticed that the same issues, so there is hope that we will soon be rid of this guy, and get back to playing winning football.

I know when i play football i get up asap even if i've been hurt really bad.I wouldn't give my opponent the satisfaction in seeing that he rattled me.Kevin Kilbane done himself proud in the Merseyside Derby last weekend when Gerrard lunged at him, he just got up, kept his mouth shut and let the referee deal with it.It's a bloody shame more players couldn't do this and until refs clamp down on cheats it will still go on.
