good to see Gareth Cronon back. Altogether we have a very strong squad. The big question is can Gunther do anything with them ?
according to the echo city have signed gareth cronin ,dave warren and resigned o grady with a full time contract ,horgan and colin o brien the original has also resigned and damien o rourke is going to america on a scholarship for four yearsat the end of the summer
and city are to hold talks with a fella o flynn from cobh his a striker who played with portsmouth
soccer isn't a matter of life or death its more important than that!!!

Its all very well signing players for positions in defence and midfield, but the season starts soon and murphy still has'nt signed an out and out striker!!!!
If cronin is back, that's brilliant news for city. He is like our Denis Irwin, ultra-dependable and excellent going forward.
Rovers must be falling apart since Damo the Tash left.
Haven't heard anything on a Cronin move up here in the pale. Horgan & Carey are great but probably suffered last season due to competition for their places.
More fulltime contracts are well 'n good but only if the club is making a serious effort to create a more or less fulltime squad.
If O'Grady has changed his contract i presume hes also extended it too?
trust me its happened... gareth is homeOriginally posted by pete

George O`Callaghan could be a very good striker.I think he scored a good few for Port Vale and I saw him playing for Glen Rovers against Ballyhea and he was tall and fast which is unusal but most importantly hes tall cause city are lacking severely in the height department upfront, also is it true that dereck caughlan is gone to bohs?
Murphy Out NOW!
yea derek is gone, as of last weekOriginally posted by Patsys Fags

No disrespect to either team but any player who went to england when young would obviously look good when playing local u-12 to u-15 sides.Originally posted by Patsys Fags

However he does look the more promising of our signings this year as at least he has played a good few games for Port Vale.
WHO promised O'Grady would look good??
Why the surprise??
Reporter: "Gordan, can we have a quick word?"
Strachan:"Velocity"
Its good to have Gareth back, I reckon he will slot into the centre back position left vacant by Derek.
Its a pity that Damien O'Rourke is gone because I saw him as the long term replacement for Deccie, he was a very promising player.
We'll know exactly how everything is shaping up in less than a month anyway...
