    City Back 4

    With four to choose from:

    Napier
    Warren
    Carey
    O'Rourke
    Cronin
    Horgan
    Daly
    Andrews

    What are our best options?
Obviously we don't know much about Warren and Andrews. Cronin can play left-back or center. And O'Rourke seems to be leaving in August.

I'd like to see a back four of...

    Carey Napier Cronin Horgan

Never seen the new guys so this is going on what we've got, excluding O'Rourke. We shouldn't build a team around a player who knows he's leaving soon.

Cronin and Napier center backs - both experienced and good honest footballers. Would compliment each others styles nicely.

Carey and Horgan full backs - Horgan defending the left wing letting Woods do as he pleases, and Carey with more responsibility on getting forward and delivering the crosses from the right.
The glass isn't half full or half empty it's just too damn big!

Carey had been looking sluggish at right back last year & Cronin has always been a much better left back so....

Horgan, Deccie/Napier , Andrewa (if he not up to it we screwed, Cronin.

Yeah that looks good too. But that's assuming Andrews is any good.

a friends old man was talking to mooney a few days back and he said andrews is small but just as good or even better than coughlan in the air and he can also use his feet !!!
mooney also said that george o callaghin is a pleasure to watch so things are looking a bit better for next season
soccer isn't a matter of life or death its more important than that!!!

Hoggie is naturally right footed, so maybe he could switch to right full instead of left full. Doesnt matter I suppose, he's excellent in any position.

Well if Andrews isn't up to the job city are going to leak a lot of goals as any combination of Daly, Napier & Cronin as centre backs doesn't exactely inspire confidence as all 3 are likely to be worse than last year as they get even slower.....

Shhhhhh for crying out loud...there could be fans of other clubs lurking about and we don't want them finding out and telling their teams how City plan to play. !!
