This event is set to be our biggest fundraiser of the year. Tables are E1,500 each and 40 have confirmed already. GUST are putting a table together. Anyone interested in going should pm me ASAP. Tickets are expensive, but it will be a great night.

Annual?! Has this been done before?!

Looks like it will be a good night alright.
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"

I think its the 3rd year. If 40 tables are already booked, thats E60,000 taken in. Well done all involved.

This is the first year that we will have a ball, per se. In the past two seasons
we have had a after-dinner speaker and a 25th celebration dinner. It will become an annual event. What GUFC are doing is establish a series of annual events, ie ball, golf classic, Famous Fives, which will be part of a fundraising plan, rather than the more traditional EL method of organising these events whenever there is a cash crisis.

Although the cost per table is high, overheads are also substantial. When a net profit figure is available, I will be happy to disclose it at the next GUST meeting. It would be inappropriate for any club to publish this type of figure on an internet forum.

    PD.

PS Thanks to Sligo Rovers who have donated an I-Pod for the auction.
