Cashin was a keeper, Tiernan a full-back I think. Neither made a first-team appearance (Tiernan might have played once or twice in the early stages of the League Cup).
UCD pair Stephen Cashen and Liam Tiernan ... What positions did they play in? Were they any good? Do you have pics of them?
Any info on them at all would be great.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Liam Tiernan was a centre-half on the Under 21's but was converted to full-back in one of the Universities Cup competitons. He began his career with WFTA as a schoolboy. Liam made 1 appearance in the League Cup group game against Shamrock Rovers last season and was unfortunate to get an injury near the end of the first half and was carted off on a stretcher. One of two more bench warming sessions followed and that was it.
