Myself and a few mates deliberately had a good look around on Friday to check out the attendance because it was definitely up on recent games (amazing what a win can do). Blocks E and D were full to capacity. From what we could see, Blocks A to C were mostly full too. I asked a friend who sits in B about it and he concurred. The one I often forget to check is the hill beside Block E. There actually are a good few who stand there.
All in all, we estimated a conservative 1100 altogether. Given the people around the ground, that still leaves over 200 empty seats in the stand. I don't think there were that many empty seats, but I'm being conservative.

I don't agree with you bluemovie. Was there in season ticket section over the tunnel and there was loads of empty seats all over the place, not many people down low in block B and hardly any away fans in block A.I'd still stick with 900.Just my opinion.
How come if clubs in Scottish 3rd division can release definite attendance figures for the Sunday papers but most Eircom League clubs keep it quiet from the press?

I'd have said less, probably somewhere in the region of 350... stand was fairly empty and only 25/30 Rovers fans on the far side.

2300- 2400 my guess for sligo cork...
Sligo Rovers V Cork City 2,500 Approx
I have scattered my dreams underneath your feet, tread carefully, cos it's my dreams you walk on.
2500 is better than any home support from Dublin Id say.

I'm curious to know, Stu, as to be honest I've not paid attention to these threads before, but how did you get the 857 figure for the Waterford-Bray game? Just wondering where it comes from given you've had just two quotes here from people present of 900 and 1100 - was it from a newspaper or tinternet match report?
The actual figure, I would reckon myself, was about 950-1000 in the stand with maybe another 50 or so scattered around the ground, on the hill or whatever, so 1000 to 1050 overall.
Block E and D were virtually full, block C almost so, block B about 2/3 to 3/4 full and block A (mostly away fans) 3/4 empty, but it is a smaller block. I'd say in total about 300 or so vacant seats in the stand. The capacity of the stand if memory serves is 1270.
Bluemovie you probably couldn't see much of block A from where you were but it was quite sparse it has to be said. Your block B contact is somewhat misguided. It wasn't me was it?Trevy your estimations of which blocks held what were quite good but your overall figure doesn't add up, with your overall figure you must think there were 400 odd empty seats, but that just isn't so.
