Yeah was very impressed with the crowd for a 5th v 6th tie. Looked empty 5 mins before kickoff and then really picked up. Good atmosphere at well.

Ya great crowd, and should be more for the Cork game on Tuesday...hopefully.
How many Bohs fans were there because i couldnt see from where i was sitting.
Was exoecting them to sing for the whole game as they came the whole way from Dublin, but they were outsung by the home fans, which in the Showgrounds is a disgrace.

Absolutel nonsense. I can prove that I heard 2,100 on radio as the absolute indisputable crowd figure for this match. I think you have an ulterior motive in reducing Waterford's average crowd firgure for this season and demand that you listen to my raving over any one else.

"Around 200 there plus some noisy Galway fans (second noisest to the 16 or so Under 12 Little Fanta F*****s Kilkenny City brought down in July)"

so I stand corrected - I must of been seeing doubles

as for the shamrocks game today, on the srfcforum it says: "Don't know the exact crowd figure but I would guess at about 800.
    "

Didn't want to say anything. Have been wrong before. The stand only holds 250.
Reckon there was 200-220 at last nights match but open for correction on this.

Good because we'll have the RSC rocking next Friday night and show up the laughable support your club has - a handful of D4 Lorcans.

Off to the First Division with ye.

In our league, a game where both grounds are within an hour of each other is considered to be a local derby.

If Finn-Harps-Sligo/Derry is considered to be a derby, then Dundalk-Monaghan is also.

Mons may well be our closest game, but i can guarantee there were less than 20 mons fans at the game.

The only real derby we have is drogs, with rovers and the wonderful fans from derry a close joint 2nd in 'derby style' if not proximity. Both can take up to 500 with them, oriel was always a favourite for hoops fans for some reason, maybe its the smell of the hops from the nearby harp lager brewery !!

Derry fans have a long relationship with dundalk.
