Good call. There's no place for playing games on a thursday. Football is a weekend game.

About 1000 at Pats v Longford tonight.

Stu, if you're still missing Derry v Pats, 3000 or a wee bit over it would be fair enough. The stand was jointed from the away section up to the far end and there were far more over on the terrace than I can remember seeing any time since the shed was knocked down. Plus a handful huddled under the wall in the corner who seemed to be trying not to mix with any of the rest of the Derry fans. Maybe they just had some kind of social-skills deficit or something. Very odd.

Down to our hardcore support now after a long losing streak.

150 max at our match vs Kildare tonight. The bottom has fallen out of our season altogether. Two teams that their managers had told that the way to play football was to punt the ball up into the clouds.

30+ years going to St Mels but it is getting real tough to go after a long weeks work to watch the tactics we are playing to.

The only good thing is that we have Galway on the 3rd of September in Terryland so that should be 3 points

Hang in there Battery. You've got the new stadium to look forward to next year.

And besides - struggling through the sh!te patches makes the glory days sooo much sweater when they finally come around....
